No. The problem is the same, but with a different provider. They just gave them the problem, its still 10c service THRU crowdsurge. Thats how I see it.
But is that how it is? 10C servers aren't running Crowd Surge are they?? I understand frustrations after what has happened in the past but I don't think anyone could have foreseen that using an outside company to handle the ticket sales would create the same problem.

Plus, where IS 10C on this? They should be giving us updates, providing some kind of support for their customers. I don't pay my membership fee to CrowdSurge, so this is on 10C. This is such a joke. Pearl Jam can't even manage to give us a proper tour, at least enable us to get tickets to the scraps of a tour they throw us.
Apparently the band have been in a meeting with crowdsurge via skype for over 2 hours. Guy I spoke to (my fourth call tonight) said if no email by midnight tonight give up and go to bed.
PJ need to sort this out, if I dont get tickets in this pre sale whats the point of being a member?
Well, at least that's something. I'll hold on till 12, then i'm going to sleep.
But yeah, there's no point in being a member if you can't 10c tix.
Did they specify midnight UK time? I'm not even sure they're aware we are in different time zones here in Europe... For some people midnight UK time is 2am their time :?

This isn't the fault of the 10 Club. They did what was right and found a reputable ticket sale company. Sucks that Crowd Source is having problems, but "beyond our control" usually means just that. It's not like there's a conspiracy to f**k ten club members on concert tickets.

According to Crowdsurge the band are favouring releasing the tickets again so its convenient for US fans. No disrepsect to the uS fans but this is a european tour and they have had their tour-we haven't.
That alone is making me re-think my membership. Seriously annoyed
I remember when Ticketmaster first went online. They used to have all sorts of problems when their servers got hammered for an online sale. However ticketmaster (being as the specialize in tickets), became a fairly seasoned and well run website.
I wonder why the 10c didn't try to use the 10c to distribute the tickets (like they did when the 10c servers crapped out for the Canadian tour).
I'm honestly not surprised. Other then ticketmaster, I'm not sure if there are alot of companies that really specialize in an extremely short terms blast to their servers. I wouldn't expect small ticket companies that rarely see stadium/arena sized shows to be able to do it.
Ticketmaster has such a monopoly, they I suppose it doesn't leave many independants to offer competitive services.

I'm just so frustrated. 10C are notable with their silence. Why couldnt they at least send a holding email " the band is in talks with crowdsurge right now" or something along those lines. They are just annoying and worse, upsetting, loyal fans.
An apology-heartfelt- and guaranteed tickets for all 10c members (europe based ONLY) would be good

I don't care whose fault it is or isn't. I would like to know whether I can go to sleep now without waking up to find that all the pre-sale tickets are gone. I think most of the really angry people would be a lot less angry if a. there had been some information about what's happening and b. they had not been awake for 18 hours, 6 of which were spent trying to find out how to get hold of tickets.
Me, I'm too tired to be angry. I think I'll go to bed now, so I can get 5,5 hours of sleep. If I do miss out on fanclub tickets, however, I will have to re-think my membership. The ROI is not great and I love Pearl Jam just as much without paying to prove it.

That's coming from Crowdsurge. I asked what time they would be released and he said at present the band is favouring the american timezone for their american fans.
How are other bands selling tickets successfully? It seems, in this day and age that reinventing the wheel is unnecessary, considering that other bands (DMB?) sell tickets successfully. How do they do it differently than PJ does it?
DMB and Phish (who share a management company) use Music Today for presale lotteries.
I'm not a DMB guy, but for Phish - who plays MSG, Alpine, all similar venues, this system works great. Two seconds to submit your lottery request, and then boom just wait. It's great.
NIN also used Music Today for their fanclub pre-sales. No problem at all..
Quite dissappointed by this. Been at work all day, come home, turn on PC and then spend 2-3 hours staring at the same message about being held in a queue.
I've struggled to get 10C tickets in the past and had to join the madness that is the general sale. Only reason I am with 10C is the presales, not bothered about the t-shirt etc.
I've just had an email from O2 (my mobile provider in the UK) and I can get presale tickets for Manchester through their own priority scheme....so could still get presale tix but not through 10C, which is pretty poor tbh

That's coming from Crowdsurge. I asked what time they would be released and he said at present the band is favouring the american timezone for their american fans.
If that's really the case, for a European tour, they'll piss off an incredible amount of European fans. I for one will definitely not be renewing my membership, if that'll prove true. And to be quite honest, I'll also rethink investing my hard-earned Euros for something else instead of traveling for my first first live gig of Pearl Jam after 20 years of being a fan. We Finnish fans feel shunned enough as it is.
o2 presale begins in just over 12 hours, but you have to be an o2 customer. That means 10C has less than 12 hours to fix this in order for membership to be worth anything. Trouble is, if it goes back online during the night in Europe, it's the European fans who will be screwed by this.
I understand that things go wrong and I also understand that 10C is not directly to blame, but if there's not a fair resolution to this, I think we have a right to be seriously annoyed.

I wonder if there's some Chinese whispers going on with the message getting garbled along the way.
If the servers and everything are in the States it would make sense to stick to American time zones, since people will be awake and able to deal with stuff (supposedly ;-) ). Plenty of advance notice should do the trick. It's not like 9am is that much more convenient than 6pm. There will always be people who are at work, travelling, taking care of kids... but with enough notice we can try and sort something.

The good news is that the tickets are still there if you want to take a positive from this.
My take on what happened tonight:
10 Club servers can't handle the pre-sales, but IIRC they staggered onsale times to compensate for this. 10 Club have done the right thing by passing the ticket sales out to a different company, however they should have kept the onsale times staggered. They announced the dates about a week ago so why they couldn't space the sales over different days is beyond me. Basically when a lot of people try to access a website it creates a massive denial of service, there is no way to avoid this realistically. Even the big sites in the UK suffer from this, see tickets when festivals go on sale, ticketmaster if they exclusively sell tickets for a tour. Hopefully whoever is in charge of dealing with ticket sales can learn that there is always going to be this problem, and like previously when they compensated by selling different dates at different times, they still need to do this no matter who provides the service. They may look at it as being inconvenience to not be able to get all the dates at the same time, but it's much more convenient than struggling for hours.
EDIT: also mentioned in another topic is that as long as you get the tickets into your cart, go to the normal crowdsurge website and you should be able to check out from there without too much hassle
Unfortunately, due to issues beyond our control, we have experienced technical issues with the presale.
In order to best serve members of the Ten Club, we are going to take presales offline for now, and return to members shortly with an alternate way of providing presale ticket access. We will give advance notice with details of when the presale will resume via email and website.
If you have already successfully purchased tickets, your ticket order is complete and you do not have to await further instructions.
