maybe..but wouldn't it have been prudent to check if these guys can actually handle the amount of traffic a pre-sale generates ?? seems they were woefully unprepared..3 hours for nothing :evil:Manchester 09, Hyde Park 10, Berlin 10, Manchester 1+2 2012, EV Manchester 2012, EV London 1+2 2012, Amsterdam 1+2 2014, Leeds 2014, Milton Keynes 2014, EV London 1+2 2017, EV Dublin 2017, London 2018, Milan 2018, Padova 2018, Rome 2018, Berlin 2018, EV Florence 2019, EV Barolo 2019, EV Madrid 2019, Berlin 2022, London 1+2 2022, Budapest 2022, Krakow 2022, Amsterdam 2022

Another one to add to list of tickets in my basket then an empty basket warning. Turning into a basket case.
How about a special presale code for anyone who complains on this board?0 -

But is that how it is? 10C servers aren't running Crowd Surge are they?? I understand frustrations after what has happened in the past but I don't think anyone could have foreseen that using an outside company to handle the ticket sales would create the same problem.0 -

Plus, where IS 10C on this? They should be giving us updates, providing some kind of support for their customers. I don't pay my membership fee to CrowdSurge, so this is on 10C. This is such a joke. Pearl Jam can't even manage to give us a proper tour, at least enable us to get tickets to the scraps of a tour they throw us.My Pearl Jam Photos

PJ need to sort this out, if I dont get tickets in this pre sale whats the point of being a member?
Well, at least that's something. I'll hold on till 12, then i'm going to sleep.
But yeah, there's no point in being a member if you can't 10c tix.
Did they specify midnight UK time? I'm not even sure they're aware we are in different time zones here in Europe... For some people midnight UK time is 2am their time :?Like a cloud dropping rain

I agree...without actually doing proper tours they are going to have fans from all over the world trying for tickets to the handful of shows they schedule. This isn't the fault of the 10 Club. They did what was right and found a reputable ticket sale company. Sucks that Crowd Source is having problems, but "beyond our control" usually means just that. It's not like there's a conspiracy to f**k ten club members on concert tickets."If you are flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit." - Mitch Hedberg0 -
According to Crowdsurge the band are favouring releasing the tickets again so its convenient for US fans. No disrepsect to the uS fans but this is a european tour and they have had their tour-we haven't.
That alone is making me re-think my membership. Seriously annoyed0 -
I remember when Ticketmaster first went online. They used to have all sorts of problems when their servers got hammered for an online sale. However ticketmaster (being as the specialize in tickets), became a fairly seasoned and well run website.
I wonder why the 10c didn't try to use the 10c to distribute the tickets (like they did when the 10c servers crapped out for the Canadian tour).
I'm honestly not surprised. Other then ticketmaster, I'm not sure if there are alot of companies that really specialize in an extremely short terms blast to their servers. I wouldn't expect small ticket companies that rarely see stadium/arena sized shows to be able to do it.
Ticketmaster has such a monopoly, they I suppose it doesn't leave many independants to offer competitive services.
Actually does TM even operate out of europe?0 -

Exactly. It's now half past one. I've decided to wait until two, and then I'll just say fuck it, go to bed, and hope it'll be sorted in the morning. And if I miss out on this... Well. There's always the general sale. They've wasted almost seven hours of our time, and I'm not grateful.0 -

Hi,
Sure there isn't going to enough tickets for every fan that wants to go to a certain show...But, at least make it where you don't have to hit f5 4000 times and be online 8hrs to get tickets..0 -

I'm just so frustrated. 10C are notable with their silence. Why couldnt they at least send a holding email " the band is in talks with crowdsurge right now" or something along those lines. They are just annoying and worse, upsetting, loyal fans.
An apology-heartfelt- and guaranteed tickets for all 10c members (europe based ONLY) would be good0 -

I don't care whose fault it is or isn't. I would like to know whether I can go to sleep now without waking up to find that all the pre-sale tickets are gone. I think most of the really angry people would be a lot less angry if a. there had been some information about what's happening and b. they had not been awake for 18 hours, 6 of which were spent trying to find out how to get hold of tickets.
Me, I'm too tired to be angry. I think I'll go to bed now, so I can get 5,5 hours of sleep. If I do miss out on fanclub tickets, however, I will have to re-think my membership. The ROI is not great and I love Pearl Jam just as much without paying to prove it.Like a cloud dropping rain

That's coming from Crowdsurge. I asked what time they would be released and he said at present the band is favouring the american timezone for their american fans.0 -
mensane wrote:choop wrote:CJMST3K wrote:How are other bands selling tickets successfully? It seems, in this day and age that reinventing the wheel is unnecessary, considering that other bands (DMB?) sell tickets successfully. How do they do it differently than PJ does it?
DMB and Phish (who share a management company) use Music Today for presale lotteries.
http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/
I'm not a DMB guy, but for Phish - who plays MSG, Alpine, all similar venues, this system works great. Two seconds to submit your lottery request, and then boom just wait. It's great.
NIN also used Music Today for their fanclub pre-sales. No problem at all..0 -
Quite dissappointed by this. Been at work all day, come home, turn on PC and then spend 2-3 hours staring at the same message about being held in a queue.
I've struggled to get 10C tickets in the past and had to join the madness that is the general sale. Only reason I am with 10C is the presales, not bothered about the t-shirt etc.
I've just had an email from O2 (my mobile provider in the UK) and I can get presale tickets for Manchester through their own priority scheme....so could still get presale tix but not through 10C, which is pretty poor tbhAstoria - April 20th 2006
