I'll take being down 12-7 with the QB throwing 3 picks in the first half.

    good point
The int pre halftime cost them the game. Chasing those points all day long

    F'n terrible!
Horrible play calling...where the fuck was Forte?!?!?

Hanie showed his nerves early on, but that was a horrible debut. My god...it truly showed how much they rely on Jay.
Take away the bonehead plays from Hanie and the Bears win this game. :x

im hearing a lot of blame put on martz for some goofy play calling (i.e the the screen accross the field at the 10 before halftime) but i think the majority of the blame is on Hanie.

he had very good protection pretty much the entire game, his running backs did their jobs and his defense held oak to just field goals for most of the game.

it was his decision making that cost the bears big time. he scrambled when he didnt have to, tried to force throws that back-fired and didn't have any rhythm throwing to his targets on time.

i think he'll start next week vs the kansas shitty chiefs but i hope lovie isnt afraid to throw mccown in at a moments notice.

Mccown is going to do nothing but ride the pine for the rest of the season, unless there are a bunch of injuries.

Calib will improve this week. Just has to not make the boneheaded plays (first int, vs running out of bounds). the third int is a mixed bag. the d guy did a good job coming in from the secondary to mess it up, i blame that one more on the play call.

    Oakland isn't a bad team.

i think they will be ok and should still make the playoffs.

Yeah, McCown was out of the league for a reason. He's there to hold a clipboard until Jay gets back.

Some bad plays by Hanie, but not too surprised with a guy making his first career start.

Perfect timing on the schedule to be playing the Chiefs this week.

    myth busted

seriously, assuming no injury, who do you start if they lose? a 5th round draft pick from this year, or a guy that's been doing anything but playing football for over a year?

Hanie is starting until Cutler gets back unless he gets hurt or turns into Todd Collins. Plain and simple. I can't believe how people are completely freaking out about how our backup QB played. It was his first NFL start in one of the toughest places in the league to play. Relax people!!!

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz reportedly is interested in the head-coaching opening at Arizona State, where he once served as an assistant.

According to a Twitter report from Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic, Martz is interested in filling the vacancy created by the firing Monday of Sun Devils coach Dennis Erickson.

Martz, who spent nine seasons as Arizona State's quarterbacks/receivers coach (1983, 1986-87) and offensive coordinator (1984, 1988-91), is in the final year of his contract with the Bears after declining to acccept a renewal offer during the offseason.

I will drive him to the airport! Either way, I don't see how they could possibly bring Martz back after this season. They could win the fucking super bowl and I wouldnt want him back.

it wasn't a horrible call....Curry did a nice job jumping the play from teh LB position....if he doesn't get there...could be a big play.

or are we subscribing to the Woody Hayes passing game moto...that only 3 things can happen when you pass and two are bad.

the first two interceptions were clearly bad and should not have been thrown.

i don't recall that play being run this season...not to say it hasn't...

and typically, the screen pass goes to Forte when they do run a screen.

    i don't mind a little trickeration

all that said, i don't remember them running much of the left guard pull to the right run play lately....not since Chris Williams went IR.

that play was tearing it up
