    Players don't have much leverage in my opinion. They'd be wise to take 50-50 if the owners are still willing to offer that at this point. They've been talking about a "fair deal" and as far as the revenue sharing, that looks pretty damn fair to me.

    they have lots of leverage..no games = no money for owners

    there was an article about bri on espn a while back suggesting the players are 100% responsible for it, and thus deserve a bigger slice. i can see that

    This. Let the players go play in Europe, China, wherever, it won't compare to the treatment they get in the NBA. At 50-50, I think they'd be cashing in better than they would in their other options.

    I went to Miami 2 weeks back and drove past the American Airlines Arena and it gave me goosebumps thinking about my Mavs winning on their floor. Hopefully the Heat don't make it even that far this year, I'm pulling for the Bulls in the East.

    that's been floating around for some time...should have done it right away if they were going to do it. it does sound like some players are getting antsy, which of course plays right into the owners hands.

    i read an article on the tribune today that said owners could come up to 51% of BRI. if they do, the players have to drop from 52% and a do a deal. IMO of course.

    well ... it's not something you can really bluff with ... if they decertify - it'll get super ugly and the lawyers are gonna make a killing ...

    imo ... the owners have already won at 52.5% ... players should forward a take it or leave it deal ... then decert if owners reject ...

    sounds like the union is pretty divided.....seems like some want the deal, and others don't. perhaps billy and fisher need to send the proposals to the players to see what they think instead sitting around with a thumb up their ass.
