    I am a bit irritated by all this hygiene talk.

    I feel a rant brewing but I will try to restrain myself.

    Suffice to say that I disagree wholehearted with the view that it is somehow 'unclean'. I don't clean up my nose with a cotton bud in case there's some germ up there. I don't do the same with my nether regions. I also won't be cutting off bits of myself just to make it easier to clean.

    idk about "obsession"...i think, simply put, it's been the norm for so long here. i do believe though, slowly, the tide is turning. i've read much on the topic in say the last 5-10 years, and yea....not really a topic of interest for me, haha....so i do think the medical community is saying it's all safe/clean....tho yes, still say to a certain extent, a wee bit more of cleanliness is required, but certainly nothing to worry about!


    this whole thing reminds me of an episode of sex and the city, when charlotte was dating an uncut man and she didn't like it. he went and got circumcised, felt like he was a virgin again, and then he dumped her b/c he wanted to try out his new penis with a lot of other women. :lol:

    So much ignorance in this thread it is absolutely laughable.

    Hygiene is not a reason to hack off a perfectly normal and functional part of the body, providing you shower or bathe every day there really is no issue at all. You guys are quite aware that the majority of the world's male population are NOT circumcised? If you want to take the hygiene route then should we not be removing the external parts of female genitalia? Surely they can harbour germs too? Makes no sense to me at all.

    i would almost bet a shit load of money on it that when a newborn is cut it only hurts for a brief moment. the pain does not last more than a few minutes. is this true?

    so they got a swollen bloody penis. 92% of all men breathing right this second have a swollen and bloodied member. right this moment mine is puffed up and leaking fluid. i am perfectly fine actually.

    It's not the normal procedure in Britain,unless for religious reasons.I have never been with a circumcised man and there has been no problem with hygiene.
    I have only seen babies circumcised willies never an adult man.I'd rather than have it all there,if the babies are anything to go by,it looks too funky without :D

    part 1: i would say that with a local anesthetic - there might be some discomfort after it wears off

    Absolute Angel...maybe you can go with the norm...not sure what part of the world your from or currently reside but...yes it's not the norm worldwide but in the united states...its more like 99.999499% that men are... so...ya we here in the USA do some pretty stupid stuff but as for this type of issue...we really do what make sense!!! Religion or No Religion...
