What was the difference between the standard and delux versions? I thought it was just a slipcase thingy?
The standard version just has one disk - esentially the PJ20 movie and around 30 minutes of bonus features. The deluxe has the standard disk along with 2 additional disks.
Disk 2 of the deluxe version contains "The Kids are Twenty" which is a performance based film. From what we know, it contains full uninterrupted versions of each performance featured in the movie along with bonus features.
Disk 3 of the deluxe version contains "The fans are alright." We're not really sure what this is. The description at one time made it sound like it was mainly fan interviews, but the description has been updated to state that this disk is for the hardcore fan and contains never before seen footage.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

great news! any idea how many disc and what the special features will be?This post is © by gfraser0 -
While a tad on the angry side (
) , I do agree with your points.
Re: the Best Buy exclusive edition. It'll be an exclusive for 2 months I believe. Amazon have it available for pre-order with a release date of late Dec. The extras were posted on another thread here and they are a few deleted scenes.Post edited by Sweet Oblivion on0 -

The best buy exclusive is only the single disk version of the movie and does not contain the kids are twenty or the fans are alright.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

Doesn't matter. A timed exclusive during the holiday season screws of independent retailers more than anything else. It's disgusting and the band should be ashamed of themselves since it goes against everything they said when they did that pseudo-exclusive with Target.0 -

Oh I'm not defending the Best Buy decision at all. It's out of line with their general "support indie music stores" message and I wouldn't be in favour of it at all.0 -
I was lucky enough to be able to order the Deluxe DVD a few days after it went on sale, but only thanks to my generous dad who offered to do it for me as an early Christmas present.
Otherwise I'd have had to wait until after it sold out and I'd be just as upset and angry about it.
It isn't fair and isn't fan friendly - the opposite of what 10c stands for, I suppose.
Please produce more Blu Ray/DVD Deluxe editions of PJ20
It's not fair to the fans - Why should certain fans be excluded from having the opportunity to buy the Deluxe edition just because they didn't have the money within 22 days (or however many it was on sale for)
Not everyone has the same financial luxuries and it just isn't fair. It's discriminating against those who simply couldn't afford it during that time scale.
While certain items are limited and that adds to their novelty, a film CELEBRATING THE BAND AND ITS FANS over the last twenty years should be available to the fans.
And Limited just encourages scalpers or flippers or the greedy people who sell items such as these to fans who missed out at ridiculously high prices. And the band doesn't benefit from it so why allow it to happen?
I feel upset and bad for the people who missed out and I hope that they are able to purchase the deluxe dvd from this website, without having to resort to illegal means or scalpers0 -

i dindt think it would be the same package as the tc, but i expected a little more than a single disc lol. thats pretty lame given its a blu ray and no just a dvd.
oh well, can get a blu ray at least and will just have to download the extras :(This post is © by gfraser0 -
It is possible and required that when you discuss something here, you are not abusive and/or rude. I'd think when asking for something, it would be the smart thing to do. I have no idea if the petition will work but I hope that it does for all of you asking. Follow the Posting Guidelines though or the thread will be closed.
