I'm Ross, and i'm 20 years old. I'll be going with my girlfriend Naomi, who's nearly 20 and also posts on here (Inside|The|Well).

I'll be staying at my aunt's new house after the gig but we're definitely up for meeting beforehand for some drinks and to get to know people!

Meeting up beforehand would be good!!!

Haven't taken the day off work yet, maybe I'll work the morning.... Depends also on whether or not we'll have to queue...

I know loads of Dutch Jammers (I'm a Dutch one myself, currently UK resident though), but no British ones yet :D

  • I'm the opposite, Scottish, but currently in Amsterdam prison, they're letting me out for the day.
  • Does anyone from London know of any big open bars, where we could have a general meeting point?

I know a pub! I used to work in South Kensington in a pub that's attached to the Jury's hotel there - it's on old brompton Rd I think, called Kavanaghs. It can be pretty quiet during the day but it's really big. We could meet there.

Sorry, Hi I'm Helen and I'm 25 coming from Ireland :)
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable

Well, there's an eerie pub not far from the Astoria.

    http://www.eeriepubco.com/pub.php/ben_crouches/

It plays rock music. I've never ever heard Pearl Jam in there, but I've always enjoyed it.

  • hmmmmm eeeerie - good at night. depends what mood we're going for.

Quiet before the "go wild" or build up the energy in a rock bar. I don;t think I need the encouragement, last time I saw them, I had to be scraped off the ceiling most of the day!

Also my favourite barman at the time is now the manager and I bet if we gave him a PJ cd, he'd have absolutely no problem putting it on for us.

It does sound good, my only concern is that it is not that near to the venue (as far as I'm aware) and with us already being nervous, that could be a bit difficult :S

  • As a scotsman... my knowledge of london doesn;t stretch much beyond albert square.... Anyone want to meet in the Queen Vic... lets face it most folk know it, and we'd all secretly give Little mo one.

Well, South Ken is officially a 15 min tube ride (with 2 interchanges) away from Tottenham Court Road. But my experience with London is that you ahve to count on double the advertised time...

I wish we could just move your pub Helen! Plonk it down just round the corner from the Astoria.

Of course ther's Soho and Carnaby Street not far away and there are zillions of pubs there. I work near Oxford Circus and have had work do's in at least 4 different pubs...
