  • T-shirts?

    Setlists?

    Things to scream?

    Places to go afterwards?

Any of the above. I just need to talk about it to try and contain my excitment....

Yeahh!!! on the subjet of t-shirts, we don't really have any of PJ around here... ): but hey, I look much better wearing a blouse!
are any of you bringing any banners? do we do that sort of thing?
  • Banners? For me - It would have to say somthing really worthwhile, I think you would get fed up holding it.

"Pearl Jam Rock" is going to have very little effect on the band....

    Any ideas?

in 2001, a bunch of UK fans got together here:
    http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/14/145/Royal_George/Charing_Cross_Road

now, it aint the best pub in the world but its bang next to the astoria so there will be fans hovering all over the place. i intend to meet some friends in there - we can also keep tabs on the venue and just bask in the charing cross road pearl jam frenzy. i also want to look up at the astoria sign saying 'PEARL JAM' as many times as possible during the day..

i'm going, by the way. though i can't quite believe it.

i just got my train tickets through this morning... super fast eh!!!

its now beginning to sink in that i'm actually going!!!

lets keep this thread going as a meet and greet for UK jammers ... although recognising the Scots in their kilts aint gonna be too hard, as for the rest of us... the big fucking smiles will be a sign that we are fans.. :D
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

My thoughts exactly!! Why get drunk on alcohol when you can get high on Pearl Jam?
The guitars... the drums... Eddie's voice... Eddie's moves... Eddie's... o.k. cut that out...

I'm Einat btw and I'll be there with Tali, we're 25, and we can't wait 3 weeks!!!

Now this is what I'm talking about! I'm up for a little bit of basking. I'll be flying over, dumping a bag somewhere, meeting a mate and then basking.

During the bask... is there something we can wear so that we know who we are? Red, blue and white wrist band? Or somethign easier to find. PJ tatoo carved into our foreheads?

I'm just imagining going into a paper shop and being sevred by someone who is "In the know!"

maybe we could have a code like
    A: 'is this chair taken?'
B: 'yes, it belongs to stone'

but yes, i think we should all have a word to describe us stuck on us like AWT (Astorians with tickets) or something much cooler.

the basking is almost as great as being in there... ooh, what will they play? how long for? ooh wonder if Pete Townsend's popped over from Richmond tonight?

The night won't be ending as far as I'm concerned! I'd not sleep and there would be too much to talk about! Hell, what if they sell posters? Anyway, worry later!

I know a few places we could head to.

Belongs to Stone... love that one!
  • Wooooo HOOOOOO

Only what 19 days to go or something!!!!

I think sensible drinking is called for..... a sustained 24 hour party. I made sure my return flight was in the afternoon. There's something about a kilt, as soon as you stick it on you're in the mood to party... During my graduation, my body wasn't sure what to do. "Hmmmm you're wearing a kilt, but you;re not drunk.....It's 10am"

surely there are plenty of bars in and around that area that have 24 hour drinking licences now since its fully LEGAL now in England to open as long as you want if getting the license approved.

Will do a bit of investigation to find out as know a fair few people from london areas and let you all know.

Still not sure what i'll be doing on the day. Staying at Farringdon as got a good price on a travelodge there. Not far from Kings Cross and if needbe I may head back there as know a cracking irish bar that is open usually until around 3am or so (although its usually been a friday or saturday when i've been there).

Thanks. I'm glad the normal way also got some real fans in (and their friend from Germany who is also a dedicated fan ;)) :). But I agree, it's not fair to sell it 3 minutes before the official time.

But you know, of all of my friends in the UK who are fanclub members or long time die-hards - not a single one of them got tickets and I feel so sad for them. If it were not for this board or for Bugs, I'd question if any real fans got them.
