So, in 2003, they provided an immediate download to tide us over before the physical CD's came. But no, it wasn't quick enough. So they released them in 2006 onwards for download with days of the show, with - obviously - reduced quality. Then people whinge about the quality.

OK, I did not know that. My original point of loads of people vying for tickets still stands. It's extremely hard to get tickets.
I knew this was coming, and I don't think it's unreasonable.
But for the extra $ what I'd really like to see is 10C offer fan club members tickets that are unique, each show with a different design, to distinguish 10C from TM & make that stub even more of a keepsake.
Oh and
fanclub members get to submit designs for each city, any winning entry gets 1st row to any show on tour.
That would def sweet'n the deal.
I've also thought it would be cool to have a backstage lottery for each show. Maybe 25-50 people could win a backstage pass so they could meet all or some of the members of the band for a quick photo and maybe autograph. I don't think that would be unreasonable, if it was timed well, it would only take them about an hour after each show tops. Also, it would need to be regulated so that each person could win only once per tour/year. I think the main complaint most people have is that it doesn't seem like we are getting that much more for double the money. I like your idea of different tickets, that would make them more special for fan club members. I also think a bumper sticker, coffee mug, badge set, or something else could be thrown in for that extra $20, JMO.

i'm pretty sure they did offer to make the "vault" of past live shows available for purchase and download, and i think they offered the 93 NYE show, that they then released on CD with the 10c version of the avo, and i think one or two other older shows where made available, then it was just forgotten and disappeared.

I don't really trust the Ten Club to get "digital"-only membership benefits to me, since they can't even get e-mail announcements/order confirmations into my Yahoo email account. No offense-- I know it's Yahoo's fault, etc... but every single other mailing list I'm on (and trust, me I'm on a lot) SOMEHOW manage to get their mass e-mails into my inbox.
