    I really don't understand why this is such upsetting news.

    Everything goes up in price. The Ten Club is now giving us a choice, based on personal preference
    and if the increase is too much or you don't agree for whatever reason, then don't renew.

    It's seems pretty simple.

    Change happens. No complaints. Not sure which I'll take - I don't have the means to play vinyl, so I don't need a vinyl single, but will appreciate an mp3. Would like the opportunity to download a free bootleg - the shirts don't usually fit me, or rather man's cut shirts don't look good on me since I'm small, though a new shirt is nice, and Deep I can read digitally though its nice to get the mag in the mail. I have a while to make up my mind.

    This all just gave me an idea for how to offset rising costs in the small business I run... so thanks!

    There is an option to pay that same $20 a year...And get our precious 10club tickets....right???

    Exactly.

    It is Our option to upgrade Our individualized membership, not a mandatory increase with no other option. And I think it is a good idea, some want more than others, and the Ten Club has listened and responded accordingly.

    The ticketing portion of the membership hasn't changed one bit, or as far as I can tell.

    I truly don't see what the big deal is.

    No, most of the loyal hardcore fans are in it also for the vinyl. That's very conveniently being put in the "PREMIUM" box when it's something that was a given item for *any* fan club member. Put the t-shirt, bootlegs and other crap in the PREMIUM option. But what happens then? No one will buy the PREMIUM option and their business falls apart.

    I don't give a fuck about anything but tickets and the vinyl. Most people don't.

    Also fans from poorer areas of the world (lets say Indonesia for example) are going to have to go without food for 2 weeks instead of 1 or sell a kidney if they want the vinyl because of this bullshit money whoring trip PJ and TC is on.

    I like getting the vinyl and I like getting the hard copy of deep-whenever they decide to show up. I understand costs increase. I dont really have a huge problem with a 100% increase to get the same exact same benefits plus a t-shirt-the fee has always seemed like a bargain to me (especially compared to other fan clubs). Its been awhile since they raised the price hasn't it? I guess its good that there is an option to retain the right to try for tickets and not have to pay more.
    Something about tiered memberships just rubs me the wrong way.

    I'd like to express some gratitude to the folks @ 10C for all they do and I'd love to remind people to be THANKFUL this great fan club exists and doesn't ROB U BLIND by charging $100/yr for nada...
    Wow - to those threatening to leave the club, sorry u feel that way. Hope to still see ya at shows. My location in the building just got that much better :)
    Embrace an attitude of gratitude, it will help u process that in the scheme of everything going on in the world, the same 20 u'd blow on booze, scratchoffs, smokes, magazines @ the airport this price hike is petty and TRIVIAL.
    If there is a thread of all the complainers THANKING PJ for every year memberships never increased, kindly point me there so I can apologize to those I've offended.

    We're talking about a fan club membership for a rock band. It's a luxury item. They go up in price. Pay it or don't, but save the self-righteousness for your next town meeting. Sheesh.

    I tried to read thru every pg of this thread but got tired of all the whinny responses , People you either pay to increase or you stay at the same level it's an option not a Demand i have Zero problem with this ....
    Folks I've been paying up since 93 and will keep going till the End Of this when ever that may be , See you guys at the Anniversary shows .. 8-)
