This is our band pulling some major bullshit and hoping we just swallow and fall in line. This is out of character and disappointing. I don't typically speak neg on the guys but this wreaks of bullshit. At some point this good deal was bound to go south. I guess pj was too good to keep from becoming dmb. : (

    It's not "our" band... its Eddie's, Stone's, Mike's, Jeffs, and Matt's ;)

So, do we get two fan club singles next year?..Since we didn't receive one this year...The 10c can't even deliever the 10c vinyl singles on time...But, yet they want more money for you to receive the vinly single...Which again is never on time...

We received the 09 single earlier this year so the 2010 single will come next year, the 2011 single will probably arrive in 2012 and so on...

I would have no problem paying the $40 bucks...If the 10c would bring back the rumor pit....Which would gives us updates on things that are going on..Instead of receiving all the info from outside sources..

I gotta say, this is really the first thing the 10c has done that rubs me the wrong way-class/caste fan club system?

my gosh, that seems to go against everything I thought the band stood for-which is every member gets equal treatment (except for seating in reserved venues of course).

perhaps this is a result of their new partnership with that marketing/royalty tracking company whose name I forget

I dont begrudge PJ for seeking more revenue, just raise the fee $10. I begrudge them for creating two classes of fan club members. What a terrible idea.

BOO BOO BOO HISS HISS HISS (Uniondale style)

This better be the first question on the next AET broadcast or I will lose total faith in PJ fans. :!:

EDIT: Can it really be getting that much more expensive to produce vinyl? Is the the band just offering fans who really care about vinyl a tad more to offset the costs? Perhaps its not so evil. Hey you want vinyl, its gonna cost a bit more, and we will throw in a few extras. hmmmmm.............

It must have cost the 10c a fortune for this years fan club vinyl single...Oh wait...We never did get one this year..

  • Not sure if it's been said yet but hopefully the Analog members will also get a MP3 download of the Christmas single too?

I predict that Ten Club is going to lose a lot of members.

meh probably from people with mediocre fan club members. I can't imagine people with low fan club members (150xxx or lower?) giving them up very easily.

Me either. Most people are really only in it for the tickets anyway. My annual single sits unused. My Deep magazines are great, but once read, they gather dust.

Umm..please enlighten me? What exactly does the fan club "give us?" What is "all that I have gotten" for the $20 years so far? The fan club magazine and vinyl are cool but there hasn't been much else.
Here's what they did for me. Off the top of my head. In 1994 they sold me a pair of tickets to a show that sold out in about 8 minutes. In 1995 they sold me 7th row tickets for Milwaukee. In 1996 PJ played my hometown for the first time. Fan Club tickets were first row on the side.In 2000 they hooked me up with front row at the Palace in Auborn Hills(20,000+ capacity arena) Should I go on? Get in a car and drive to a show.I have never had regrtets after a PJ road trip.
    Things were different then

I appreciate what the ten club does for the fans..But, maybe some of the 10c member fans will realize that 10c is a business...Not a fan club....They pretty much got us by balls with the whole ticket situation...

True, that's the only reason many of us pay those 20$/year

Ten Club shirt each year sounds sweet to me! The bootleg download sounds cool also...wondering if it is just a one song DL or a whole show??

Here is the thing...We will never get the reason why they are doing the premium fan club membership...If soemone wants to ask Tim on the AET....They probably will just avoid the question...Just like all of the important questions that are asked on AET...They won't give us a true answer..

When all the whining people leave its gonna be so cool. just think how much easier getting tickets will be once the club is smaller :D

Thanks 10c we love you ;)

What I don't get is why is everyone complaining?

    1) If you don't like it then too bad, but stop talking about how much you hate it. With every decision that the Ten Club makes there are going to be good and bad points. If you really love PJ then you are going to spend that extra money to get everything. If your not a huge fan they you are going to stick with the basic plan. Now I know that you can't get everything like before but that is just how it goes. IMO PJ is the best band ever and I think the extra 20 bucks is worth it, so I'm going to get the Analog plan.

    2) Some people say that most people are just a member so they can get the good seats. I don't think this is true. I'm a member because I enjoy PJ, I would love to get good seats but most importantly, I love this community!!! Everybody here is so nice and caring, I am proud to be a member! I

    3) It is almost the New Year, so I just want to wish every single person on here a happy new year! Don't let this ruin your day, look on the bright side and get on with your day! :D

  • What - No middle option?

    ******************************

Seriously, though. It looks to me like costs have gone up and those choosing the upper class option will pay to have vinyl pressed and paper printed then delivered with a free t-shirt(!). I prefer they do this rather than raise the price for everyone.

I'm sticking with the lower class option. I can't be bothered to give a fuck about no longer receiving the holiday vinyl. I've never pulled one out of its packaging anyway. I definitely won't be spending extra money for a t-shirt. There are a few fans out there that make much better quality ones with way better designs.

The Deep Magazine - I'm glad I'll be getting a PDF copy instead of paper. I usually thumb through the paper ones then forget them. I think it would be cool if the 10C would also start keeping archived copies of these here on the website.
    I carried a watermelon
  • I'm already renewed through Jan 2012. I understand that I still get the hard copy vinyl and deep magazine, but am I counted as an Analog or Digital member when it comes to the T-shirt?

I don't mind paying an extra $20 for the t-shirt every year, but it doesn't really explain if I'd be getting it for this year or not. I wouldn't want to be "penalized" for having renewed early.
