indeed. i'm rollin six deep today. trying to get there early. not sure if you remember me from hold steady, but if you see me, don't be a stranger. we'll be tailgaiting.
I remember you from the Hold steady show, but don' remember what you looked like. where will you be tailgating?
Jearlpam, was he on South Street?
will take plenty of pics and video. Hoping they play Remnants, but looking at their set lists they haven't been playing it this tour. This will be my first time seeing them
I think they might do something with the opening act (guy from Dr. Dog). maybe a Monsters Of Folk song, Dear God??Post edited by eeriepadave on8/28/98- Camden, NJ

Making my way to have a couple beers, but I was just down there to find a ticket window. So I find out that shit doesn't open till 6, so I make my way back to my car walking down Penns Landing. On my way around the venue their buses are right next to the waterfront so I just thought it'd be funn if I ran into them. Low and behold around the corner comes Jim, so I had to at least say hello. Cool dude. Came over to me, shook my hand, thanked him for the music, and told him Im lookin forward to tonight. He said they dig the layout of the venue and that it should get interesting tonight. Typing on this iPhone sucks so I'll explain more when I get to a computer.0

Great show! played for little over 2 hours. Opener was Scott (lead singer from Dr. Dog) he was good, did an acoustic set.. MMJ was awesome! Lot of energy, from them and the fans. i'll post some pics and video later.
Saw a few people wearing PG shirts. One was wearing the Philly one from Halloween and another dude had a Binaural shirt on.8/28/98- Camden, NJ

How awesome is the stretch from SFS>RunThru>Touch2>LayLow? That just makes the whole show in my book. The whole catalogue rocks, but this stretch is fuckin euphoric."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -
MMJ is part of the new Hurricane Katrina compilation on iTunes. They do a rawkin version of "Carnival Time" with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from JazzFest this past spring (where Pearl Jam also played). It's only $0.99, so get after it kids!"FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -

i have to say they are a better band live than pearl jam they just give off so much energy.
Dude, I didn't want to be the one to say it but........ I think the baton has been passed.
I'm not saying the energy from the crowd at the show wasn't good, but PJ crowds are still above in that territory. But, like you said, I hate to say it, but I think I made a decision last night that this band is now officially my favorite live band. At the least it's tied.0 -
