I think once we stoop to their level then evil has already won. We have not only failed to protect the good, but we have just laid down and handed it over. I can tell you that I (and many others) don't want our "good" protected by people who think we must use evil to protect it.

I have a question for you: How do you feel about state-sanctioned torture? If someone has kidnapped a child, raped and tortured her, and made a bag out of her skin, do you think it's okay to torture that person before we kill them?

I have friends who are pro-death penalty, and I still can get along with them, because we can be respectful of each other's beliefs. You obviously can't do that.
