Actually I can, it was probably PJ at the Spectrum. Before that it was probably PJ at the Garden 08... I've already bought about 10 shows for 2010. PJ MSG being the most expensive. More expensive than DMB and Petty who are next in line.
Prob the only show I'll go to that will cost this much in 2010 will be if the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac tour together... I don't even think Sting solo costs this much.
Then don't buy them. More for us.

No they don't dude and you people who say that do really sound silly. Sure they charge less than U2 and Paul McCartney and guys like that. But they charge way more than their contemporaries like, as I said earlier in the thread, Dave Matthews, Radiohead, Metallica, and Green Day. All four of those bands are just as popular as Pearl Jam....and they all charge like $30 less for tix.
These are the only bands I can think of who charge moere than PJ for their avg ticket price WHEN TOURING ALONE:
Billy Joel
Paul McCartney
Madonna (Maybe)
Springsteen (Maybe)
u2 (Maybe)0 -

It's 2010, this is what tix cost these days. Even the smallest, shittiest bands/venues get $30+ a ticket for anything. This is Pearl Jam @ MSG. The price is reasonable.Bridge Benefit 99, 01, 03, 04 (EV), 06

$92.05 really IS a lot for a concert tickets and much more than the majority of acts out there. I think the $75 for the shows I'm attending is a reasonable price but once you get into the $85 + range it really becomes hard to defend.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0

Vedder Fears Ticket Price Hike
24 September 2007
PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER fears he'll have to increase concert ticket prices after years of fighting to keep them low - because fans keep stealing his songs. The rocker was one of the leading voices against high ticket fees - and famously took on Ticketmaster in America - but now he feels downloading is killing music and he'll need to seek profits elsewhere. Vedder says, "A lot of people are getting your music without having to pay, and it's only $12. "I ordered eggs at a little restaurant in Seattle and it was $9.50. I was thinking, 'You can't spend two extra bucks for a record that you put your heart and soul into?' "I think the problem is to charge more for tickets, which is something we've always been abhorrent to do; either that or you're gonna have to start accepting sponsorships, or start selling your music to Viagra. "I'm not sure how we'll do it. I'm glad we gave money away when we did - when it came in from making records. We kind of spread it around and helped people in our community and abroad in different ways."
Ed and his $9.50 eggs lol
I work on Wall Street and I'd have to go out of my way to find a place where eggs cost that much
Pull your head from your ass and maybe you'll find some. Breakfast spot down the street from my house has $10 breakfast plates.

so $75 is okay but $79 is not? the reason it's in the $90s is the TM fees. Even so, yes, it may be a bit steep, but as far as I am concerned, it is worth it, therefore, I will pay it. Those that won't pay it, that's fine and I get that too.

is there a way to merge all these "the prices are too high/the band has sold out because the prices are too high" threads? I'd love to be able to just avoid one thread where people are whining.dream the dreams of other men...you will be no one's rival0

Well I hope don't come off as someone who is a dick and always thinks he's right. But I do firmly stand by my conviction that the ticket prices are what they are because of the band being greedy. And I have no problem with them being greedy. But it's so annoying when people say that's not the case. When they say "they have families!" or "it's not 1996 anymore", they're either clueless or they love PJ so much that they refuse to believe it. I love PJ to the point where I believe it....and I'm fine with it.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea.
