In the Past....TARZAN, The Ape Man (1981) with Bo Derek the movie was so bad I needed glasses after seeing it in the movies.

Recently, has to be last year's The GAMER I needed reading glasses after seeing that load of crap.

I agree with The Gamer. Normally I'll watch an entire movie, regardless of how bad it is, but in this instance I had to turn it off.

I recently fell asleep to Hunger, I'm usually up for a good political film, but this was just terrible. Barely any dialogue, and when there was it was a heavy Irish accent, normally I can pick it up after a while but there wasn't enough opportunities. A truly interesting story brought to the big screen in a terrible way. The designer Steve McQueen that recently passed away directed the film. Too much man junk and not enough story for my taste.

    District 9?

    A.I.?

You guys must only watch "the greatest" movies if these movies qualify as your worst movie ever...

I suggest you watch Battlefield Earth so that you have a new least favorite movie. It is impressively awful.

The remake of Rollerball, we went to the cinema to see something else but it was full, so the guy behind the desk suggested Rollerball - fucking atrocious it was.

I also though Lost Highway was a load of old pretentious bollocks.

over the years many films have wasted my time.
one of the worst films that comes to mind is, "good guys wear black" starring chuck norris.

    horrible film.

Somebody beat me to it , but I was totally going to say Wickerman with Cage. Unbelievably bad.
Can't believe someone said District 9. Thought it was a great sci-fi flick. Ten times better than Avatar IMHO. :D

Off the top of my head:

    - Extreme Movie (Least funny comedy I've ever seen.)
    - The Love Guru (Alredy mentioned, I think.)
    - The Women (No, just no.)
    - New In Town (Renee Zellweger had some pretty shoes in this though.)
    - Semi-Pro (I couldn't watch the whole thing.)
    - Van Helsing (Now, I love Hugh Jackman. But that film is just wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.)

I always feel bad when someone rents these films. :| Unless it's someone I don't like.

Starship troopers is a great film!

The worst film I have ever seen has to be Batman and Robin

Seriously?! District 9 is one of the BEST films I have ever seen. It dragged on and on? The film was less than two hours long. You must have the attention span of a four year old. I'm curious now to know what some of your favorite films are or at least some films you think are good.
  • Asylum (2008). Rented it on a whim with a few friends. AWFUL.

    starship troopers

seriously, dick, a movie doesn't have to be 4 hours to drag on and on. it seemed like some parts just weren't needed and put in there to make time. the guy gets stuff in his face and transforms into a 'prawn' and the haitians want his arm to use the weapons and he helps an alien and his kid escape.....hooray. it just didn't do it for me.

if i had to say off the top of my head, in no particular order

    big lebowski
ladies and gentlemen, the fabulous stains
brazil (the director's cut, not the butchered versions)
fear & loathing in las vegas
    best in show
    anchorman
    life is beautiful
    amelie
    scotland, pa
    2 days in paris
    before sunrise
    about schmidt
    eulogy
    requiem for a dream
    pan's labyrinth
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
    election
mr arkadin (the comprehensive version on the criterion collection release)
    little miss sunshine
    the life aquatic
    made
    the royal tenenbaums
    punch-drunk love
    office space
    novocaine
    year of the dog
    stranger than fiction
    tape
    the tv set
    waking life
    everything is illuminated
    very bad things
    two evil eyes
    the squid and the whale
    taladega nights
    the grand
not a movie but the sci-fi channel's mini series of dune was great
the others and the original version he did of what was later remade into vanilla sky (open your eyes, forget how to say it in spanish)

many of those are a lot longer than district 9 so no, i do not have the attention span of a 4 year old

Death Becomes Her, saw this on a rainy day in summer camp in 1992. Taking Woodstock also sucked pretty bad, I thought they would show a lot more of the music but it was quite the letdown.
