    Eagles will own the Cowboys....fail

Cowboys won't win a playoff game this year....I'm seeing a trend here.

    yall? what does that mean?

actually i did not feel good about this one going in and then we'd beat you in december with the playoffs or the division on the line...you know, like every year. go ahead and check the eagles thread you'll see.

and excuse us for having faith in our baseball team. what is so wrong about that? if your rangers ever made the playoffs you might know what that is like ;) ....actually i am assuming you are a real cowboys fan from the state of texas. but who knows, maybe you are a cockroach. ;)

see "yall" in late december.:mrgreen:

Yeah, we'll see ya then. This year could very different ;)

The neighbor's here may complain about a disturbance during Miles Austin's touchdown. Holy shit that was a great moment! Pretty even game. Both defenses play well. McNabb had to make some great throws against some of the that coverage, pressure was good. Both teams missed big opportunities, like Witten in the end zone :| . Eagles had some really dumb penalties. Refs screwed both teams. That was a mistake by Reid at the end, WTF?

Romo kept his head, didn't make a terrible mistake. Collingsworth said Dallas was trying to get to Roy more, and that was apparent. Good game by Witten, he's always dependable. Crayton once again makes me question his dependability with that terrible drop. And Miles Austin, I like what he gives the Cowboys. There's definitely room for improvement, but it was a good night.

I look forward to Dallas being in a better place in Dec than in previous years. A sweep of the Eagles will be very nice. Now to Green Bay, may be Romo will have a great homecoming game!

    Except for Miles Austin!! Boo-ya!!

You can thank Andy Reid for the brilliant call to kick the field goal ... wtf was that about? No time outs and you want to cut the lead to 4 and give the ball back to Dallas? Why?

    Horrible call by Reid.

It is very early, but obviously thrilled to be in first place. I think this team is different. I don't believe there will be a collapse again. We may not win the Super Bowl, or get there, but I don't see a December meltdown on the way.

Romo did a great job last night. He is either very good or very bad against the Eagles and he came up just average yesterday and that was enough to win the game. He managed it well, was patient and hit the home run to Austin at just the right time. Also nice to see him continue to spread it around.

Not enough credit is going to the Cowboys defense. I bet McNabb saw Ware and Ratliff chasing him in his dreams last night. Also, Dallas has pulled even in the turnover ratio finally.

How about that Wildcat play to Tashard Choice for the score?! And the Eagles were fooled on the same slot screen twice for big plays. So credit all around. It may have been sloppy at times, but there were a lot of positive take-aways from that game.

I agree totally with your analysis...I like the fact that Romo wasn't great and they won, it doesn't matter who your QB is they can't be great 16 games. I like the fact that the D made a nice stop and held them to a field goal in the 4th and Barber and company never gave them the ball back...showing some toughness.

Austin and Ogletree were highly regarded during the preseason if you check NFL.com, but then obviously didn't get inserted into the offense until recently. Clearly Austin has done a lot for us the last few weeks, but the emergence of Ogletree (3 catches on screen plays in the last two weeks all first downs) might make things better. What I'm hoping the Cowboys are doing is using the pass to keep their backs fresh until it gets cold and windy. Either way, I'm not getting my hopes up for this team too high, but am happy we have the record we do.

You sure like to flap the gums, I really don't care how many SB or NFC Championshio games your team has gotten to. the bottom line you've never won a Super Bowl. I doubt you will with that QB you got right now.

It will be different this year. I didn't think that way at the beginning of the season at all, but you can tell they are gaining confidence and starting to peak. They look like they are having fun playing together and everyone is stepping up and making plays. Gone is the finger-pointing, blame games, bitching and moaning about catches, etc. My confidence is growing every week.
But until they do it, the seed of doubt is still there.

This is a different team than last year's though. I feel it this year.

well what doesn't kill ya, only makes you stronger my friend! i am well aware we have not won a super bowl, thank you. it takes a lot of character not to abandon a team like that. and when they finally do win, much like the phils last year, it will be pure joy like you can never imagine. so we sort of wear that as a badge of honor in these parts....real fans, that is. ;)

thinking about it though, i think i would rather be in our position right now--- no distant memory super bowl wins, but constantly in the mix, winning divisions and playoff games about every year with a legimate shot at going to and winning the super bowl every year than being a fan of some team who still has to cling to some super bowls from the early nineties and the 70's because they have not even won a playoff game since 1996. i dont know, that's just me. the recent phils success makes it a lot easier. .........are you from the dallas area?
