I've been looking for reports that Nick Folk missed the flight home but can't find any. Dammit.

Anyway, that's as big of a December victory as we have had around here in a long time. Demarcus Ware was an absolute inspiration last night. Spencer has a breakout game and the more I see of Mike Jenkins the more I think we have a quality CB there.

And yeah, what can you say about Romo? He has stepped it up this year. He played more than well enough to beat the Giants and Chargers and he was fantastic last night. I am starting to wonder what has gotten into him! Where are the last minute interceptions and poor ball control and fumbles? Ha!

And just when I though Williams was starting to contribute he pulls out that lame performance. Hell, put Ogletree in there more.

Anyway, great game last night. I was on such a roller coaster because for too many times I have seen them blow it late in the game, late in the year. And I've seen the Saints come back from big deficits. When Folk missed that field goal I thought it was over for Dallas.

Looks like the Cowboys are trying out kickers this week. I think instead of cutting Folk, they need to IR him. He's really young and was a Pro-Bowler in 2007. He was money last year too. I would hate to cut him just to see him regain his form for another team. IR him and bring him back next year with competition. But he must not kick again this year.

  • Well, well, well...what a statistical anomaly this performance was.

I'm not surprised by this. I didn't think the Saints would go undefeated. I don't even see them in the Superbowl. Dallas will beat Washington and the conference championship will be a tough road through Philly.

I'll go ahead and say it because it's the truth. If Dallas wins out and beats Philly in the cold, they'll be in the Superbowl.

Just remember, you heard it here first.

I know they have a ways to go, but it's better to peak at the end vs. the beginning...isn't that right Denver?? I mean, what the hell happened to these fucks?

I thought they might put Folk on the IR rather than release him. Maybe the offseason hip surgery and not being able to train in the off-season as he had in the past had something to do with his problems this year.

So we bring in a kicker that leads the league in missed field goals

    WTF

    :?
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • BubbaBubba Posts: 631
Suisham this year is/was 18-21, Folk was 18-28......there wasn't much else out there....the Saints just cut John Carney but is he much better?

As for Folk, they couldn't put him on IR because he was never on the injury list so there goes that idea. Should be interesting to say the least.

Well, let me publicly apologize for giving up on this team after the Giants loss. I pretty much lost all hope after that stupid game. Needless to say, they have proven me wrong the last couple of weeks. The Cowboys are in!!

  • SO it comes down to a dick measuring contest with the Jeagler this week. The good thing is the Eagles peaked too early. 6 in a row going in to the last week against a team they destroyed to close out the year last season. Division title on the line. Defense is playing great. Demarcus Ware is wanting a McNabb sandwich. The Eagles best playmaker is a rookie that is probably shitting in his pants as I type this. Should be a great matchup for us.

    Let the teabagging commence.

So when did jeremy maclin become are best play maker??? or were u talking about shady mccoy???? I thought are best weapon was That 2nd year receiver from Cal named D.Jackson my bad. peaked to early so i guess the colts have no chance since they peaked to early. I guess the chargers shouldn't even try since they peaked to early. Or maybe the hot team usually has the best shot coming into the playoffs because they are PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME.

All is right with the world and this is how it should be. Despite the ups and downs for both teams this season we all knew it would eventually have to come to this. Throw out the previous games and the team's records over the past few weeks. Dallas and Philly match up very well together. Dallas knows how to pressure and hurry McNabb into mistakes. Philly knows how to rattle Romo.

You can't bring up the December stuff now. Even in the two losses Romo played more than well enough to win. Giants loss was a fluke and the Chargers were/are just a better team.

But the Cowboys have got to do something about that short yardage situation. They blow when it comes to 3rd or 4th and short. Sunday was no different. Ever heard of a QB sneak Garrett??

Dallas has faced 4 top 10 offenses this year and held all of them below their averages in yards, points, and third down conversions.
Only the Jets and Ravens have allowed fewer points.

I wasn't able to watch all of the game yesterday...

so Romo's interception was a deflection off Roy Williams hands??? I only saw a quick clip of it and heard no commentary. Damn, come on Roy. The team is rolling except for you.

Romo has really got his head on this year. Its a 180 degree difference from where he was last year. And a Romo with with his head and a defense playing this good... we're a scary football team.

The next TWO games are going to be vs. Philly. Weird. I'm pretty sure the Boys would just as soon avoid a return trip in January. then again, who the fuck would want to go to Philly at any time of the year?? :wtf: ;)

Not necessarily, there are several different senarios that could occur. If Minn loses tonight, Dallas could even wind up with the no. 2 seed and a bye.

I see, I see. Well then if Minnesota wins tonight, which is likely, it is almost certain to happen. I know Jerry would want to have a playoff game in Big D, but if Minn wins, I'd be temped to not show my hand in the 1st meeting and really plan for the second not caring about where it is played. I won't be any louder or more hostile than New Orleans was or Philly was earlier this year.

I, for one, do not apologize...we're still a joke team that can't put a win away with our offense. Up 17-0 on the Saints and we're begging the D for a stop, and 14-0 (7 handed to us) on the Redskins and tubby barber can't get a first 2 times in a row...we are not good don't kid ourselves.

Well, I feel a lot better about this team than I did a couple of weeks ago. And we can beat Philly. Philly games are a toss-up. We split last year. We won the first game this year. We are capable of beating them Sunday and again the next week.

We can definitely beat them Sunday, it would be sweet to not only knock them out of the NFC east lead, but take away the bye from them.

I think they are a good team, maybe not great, but good they are. They can inch closer to becoming a great team by winning Sunday and then win a playoff game. Barber? I'm not sure whats up with him, it seems these 3rd short problems started after Columbo went down, they need to try different things, maybe Choice? Jones? How about a QB sneak, Playaction pass to Witten, roll Romo out giving him more options.

As for the the overall scheme of things, if I had more choice between an offence that scored a lot of points or a defence that holds to teams fewer points and can dominate i'd take that. Pittsburgh dominating D was the major reason Pitt has win 2 superbowls lately.

He's your best playmaker. He's a rookie. He cares more than Jackson. He hasn't been jaded by the "business" of the NFL yet.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a good game. Oh and Jeags, your mom looks great naked.
