I'm a fucked Met fan, so please don't take anything I say seriously ;) ..

his fastball, slider, and change up are quite athletic. Ask the twins :D

actually for somebody as large as he is, all i keep reading is that he is extremely strong and in pretty good shape. He does throw well over 200 innings every season

  • Blackburn will have the Yankees hitting weak groundballs on Friday, Burnett will give up 6 ER, the Twins will win 6-4 and Jeter and A-Rod will cry and spoon with one another on the plane ride to Minneapolis!
    So this life is sacrifice...
6/30/98 Minneapolis, 10/8/00 East Troy (Brrrr!), 6/16/03 St. Paul, 6/27/06 St. Paul
  • well, that should put an end to jorge's griping about sitting a game

Jorge is so passed his prime it's ridiculous. The Yankees might as well have Paul O'Neill playing right field.

Why don't the Yanks bring up a prospect to catch? Oh that's right they don't have any.

Just out of curiousity, could you remind me how many hits Blackburn has given up this year?

Oh yeah. 240, the most in the AL

Ever heard of a guy named Jesus Montero? He just so happens to be one of the top prospects in baseball and guess what? He is also a catcher. (They also have another coveted catching prospect, Austin Romine).

It would be wonderful if you did an ounce of research before you say something completely idiotic.

Jesus Montero and Austin Romine come to mind. Although I think Montero might grow out of that position. And they 3 other good catchers in their system.

Ummm....someone 6 foot 7 should not weight over 300 LBS and be considered in good shape.

LaBron is the same height and in good shape.

CC is fat and if he stays this way he will die younger than he should.

It would be wonderful if the Yankees organization produced a player anybody cared about.

If Jesus is so great then why isn't he already catching? (I want a t-shirt with that on it). A nutless monkey could do a better job catching than Grandpa Posada.

How about Cano, Hughes, Joba and Melky or Jeter, Posada, Mo and Pettitte.

I would venture to guess you are not aware of the fact that 13 players on the Yankees postseason roster are home grown.

Jesus is not catching because he is 19 years old.

Mr May just may have bumped himself up to Mr July with that one tonight. Joe Nathan should be embarrassed that he couldn't get A-Rod out when something was on the line.

Never! I can't stand A-Rod. I was so happy when he admitted that he was a cheater. I'm no Yankees hater (though I do tend to cheer against them) but I sure don't like A-Rod.

    from the minutia department:

The Yankees are now 35-27 in the ALDS
This was their 21st walk-off postseason victory and first since Game 2 of the 2004 ALDS
Teixeira's home run was the first walk off homer since Aaron Boone's and 11th in team history
The Yankees overcame a deficit of more than one run and won in the postseason for the first time since Game 5 of the 2001 World Series
It is the 24th time the Yankees are up 2-0 in a series and fifth time in a division series.
