Ok, so this thread really helped me get the motivation to frame my posters. I had two of them just lying around.

One of them was the Hamilton poster, which I've seen a couple of around:

And the other one is more of a framed memorabilia set. See, I worked backstage during PJ's concert here in Chile and I was lucky enough to score a partial setlist (Thanks KW!) . I was also the guy that found out that Stone didn't approve the poster and also the same guy that mailed Klausen asking him to sell us south americans our hard earned copies! I know, I know, I'm blowing my own horn but believe me, there are very few people that I know that would appreciate this... Anyway, here's the pic, hope you guys like it:

i must say i dont know what the big deal is about that poster. i'd be more offended at the dc poster than that one.

It's triple matted - thin red on the inside, white, grey. I'm just not sold on the grey. May have to take it back in and have it done in black instead.

The Portugal '96 has a thin line of orange on the inside:

I don't mind that grey, all DC are black and is too dark.

So, did you buy posters whose main background colors match your wall colors, or did you paint your walls to match the posters you wanted to hang?

Very impressed with the way you got the frame to match on the Melbourne, it works perfectly. That's the best match I've seen of all the Aussie lithos.

Yes, the guy who make a frame for me pull out those colors from nowhere and when was done we both where surprised how good was on that poster, just perfect....some time you have a luck

thats pretty funny, my d.c. looks exactly the same with the matting and gray, my thoughts were hmmm...how much to re-mat and get rid of the gray....let me know what you decide.

My wife, who picked out the matting, LOVES the way this looks in the matting. Guess that means the matting stays...

Actually all of the walls in the house are still plain ol' white (I am a very lazy person, and painting takes a whole day, sometimes even two!). I just can't figure out how to work the wife's fancy camera, so colors come out all screwy under different lighting conditions. I had to take about 30 pictures just to get those two half decent ones. Really.

Must be an optical illusion, but the wall behind the Albequerque looks yellow/orange in the pic just like the body of the poster, and the Hawai'i wall looks light gray (easier for white to look that shade).

I like yours a lot. Nice choice of frame.

I had mine done a long time ago and am not happy with the matting. I really wish I had known MF at that time. He actually recommended no matting for this as I recall, but he may have changed his mind since he got one.

I still love it though and it is signed by all the band members (auction win) so it is special to me.
