but how do people store posters that they do NOT frame? I keep hearing "portfolios" bandied about... anyone have a link to where I might be able to attain one?

however, if your some what creative and have access to machines do what i did and make your own storage box. its painted, 1/16 aluminum, 26x 31 if i remember correctly. wasnt thinking about bigger prints when i made it but i might make another one someday soon for all my storage need. just slide it under my bed. my next one will probably include a hinged top but i need to find the time for it...
reshot my pj poster wall so my pics now include the most recent tour shows i've attended, sans the ed solo batman as it's still at the framers and yea, no room in any case ...it'll go elsewhere in the room. so here's the up-to-date collection:
I somewhere (i hope it is still around) have a '98 WPB poster that i used thumbtacks to put up. I had no idea about the collecting and so forth, i just loved the poster and came in from the concert and stuck in on the wall. (it was my one and only poster until the PJ tour) I've moved twice since then and have been searching for it to no avail. Now i'm freaking out :(

Hi there. Yes, I am in Staten Island. I actually get all of my posters framed in Closter, NJ. The guy there does a great job. I tried framing my own poster once and nearly cut off a finger.

The blue matt is kinda distracting, IMO. Draws your attention away from the picture, don't you think? Well, it's hard to say what it would look like in person, in might work out nice.

Totally, I'm no expert and everyone has their own opinion. Go with your gut. Anyway, if you get it and you don't like it, you can easily switch out the matt.
im getting it matted so the dimensions of the poster are really 18.5 by 24, but i should put them down as 18.25 by 23.75, correct?

From what I have read...it prevents the poster from buckling down the road...
