Damn that ballpark is a joke..Pelfrey almost hit one out..lol...and that shot off the wrist by Utley wouldn't have traveled beyond the infield at Citi..no wonder these guys have a million jacks..shit, Beltran would have at least 20 home runs by now playing in that kiddie park..fuckers ;) ..

    Park vs. Santana tonight. Ugh.

I hope Charlie has Park on a short leash tonight. I would love to see J.A. get the start tonight.

Our bats have been red-hot, so maybe we'll find a way to get 6 runs off Santana...we're going to need them.

Yea i'm a little iffy about park tonight...if he has another crappy showing i have a good feeling his spot in the rotation is going to be yanked for a while...

Hopefully the flyin Hawaiin's bat stay's hot...the whole offense has been pretty nasty...fewest games played in the league but still lead the NL in Homers, Slugging %, and runs per game...i'll take that..

Yeah this match up is kinda lopsided

Take a crap load of pitches and make Santana work for his out and maybe get him out of there by the 6th

    That may be so....

    "Santana awaits

The Phillies face lefthander Johan Santana tonight in their first game this season against the Mets' ace. Santana was 2-0 with a 2.97 earned run average against the Phils last season, but several Phillies hitters - including two lefties - have had success against the pitcher.

Raul Ibanez, playing for Kansas City and Seattle, is 12 for 34 (.353) lifetime against Santana with one home run; Ryan Howard is 6 for 14 (.429) with two home runs; and righthander Jayson Werth is 5 for 16 (.313) with one homer."

    Sounds like good numbers...

Hmmm if you would have said you'd be in the game with Chan Ho Park going up against Santana and would lose the game 1-0 because of a Pete Happy error... I think most Phils fans, while not happy about the loss, wouldn't be terribly upset.

The last Phillie to steal 2nd, 3rd and home in the same inning was Pete Rose in 1980.
