i WISH i could hit up these shows! i said that to hubby from the get go! i think the SC and VB shows in particular, for whatever reason. less 10c members, closer seats! beautiful! i am so HAPPY for all the southerners to finally get some WELL-deserved shows! so, there obviously are fewer pj fans down south, also, smaller populations.sso what? there ARE some hard-core fans down there.....so i am glad they get some pj love. these shows dates just do not work with my schedule...otherwise i would sooooooo be there! i think anyone doing real ttraveling for shows would be wise to hit up some southern dates, especially if you have an eh 10c #.....i think pretty sweet seats to be had. besides, shows are what you make of em....and if you give back to the band, they'll put on a kick-ass show.
ENJOY!
furthest south i will be going is the DC show.....otherwise, my hometown shows in NYC with everyone from all over, and that's if i am lucky!
Well said and I completely agree with you. I met some great people in Boston, Toronto, and at the Gorge...so the close minded people that won't come down (that have the ability this particuliar time) don't know what they could be missing.
Don't complain about shows not selling out if you aren't buying tickets to those shows.0 -

The year after, they sold 65,000 tickets for Nijmegen. Nijmegen and Arnhem are practically the same place!
I think pearl jam does very well in Europe! Copenhagen sold out in minutes also. I am now talking public sales, not 10c presales.
I was agreeing with you.
My point it that they dont tour there every year, so its more likely that tickets would sell out faster for Euro shows.
Plus, several of those Euro shows were festivals, making the regular shows with 10c club seating even more in demand.Turn this anger into

I really believe it is because of the ticket prices. I think there are more people upset with the cost then there are that are fine with it. I am not trying to start another argument, just stating what i think the reason is.0 -

They either have a big alotment of tickets to these shows or there just isn't the demand for the area. How can the shows from yesterday not be sold out? And the shows on sale today didn't go very quick. I'm surprised Camden didn't go quick. This realyl makes it hard for people that want to go but can't.......I can't use the excuse that they are sold out to make me feel better!!!!Like a word misplaced...nothing said...what a waste0

Well.. that debunked your theory. Less than 10 minutes in the sale, tickets are 'temporarily out of stock'. Price doesn't seem to be the issue.0 -

It may be only $20 but people set certain price points for themselves & $150 to a lot of people is not an impulse buy.
I was a college student in 2000 & followed them around for 3 shows. Deer Creek, Riverbend & the show in columbus. I would say that for those 3 shows i spent $100 for tickets. If someone wants to go to 3 shows now they would pay roughly $210. Obviously prices are higher due to inflation and other factors (fuel), but i think it is harder for a college student to come up with $210 v. when i had to come up with $100 eight years ago.
Also Camden is really Philadelphia just on the other side of the river. So i would definitely expect Boston NYC & Philadelphia to sell out. Its not a good sign when the other markets still have tickets available. As much as some people would like they cant just play Seattle, LA, NYC, Philadelphia & Boston.0 -

You are aware that there's a recession going on, right? Whether or not the people in Washington suck it up, grab their balls and actually say the "R" word, make no mistake that there's not quite the same amount of money in most peoples' bank accounts for discretionary spending. I guess food and gas trump Stoney's pony.
And PJ's been more than well compensated for their work just fine."I'm here to see Pearl Jam."- Bono

Crazy you put west coast tour tickets in goods, they would be gone in minutes, I'm really shocked seats not selling faster!!0

technically, still only 'temporarily out of stock'...no 'sold out' just yet. and, it seemed to take a good 15 minutes for that to occur. shciked me, really. can only HOPE such a scenario for MSG tomorrow.
as to why the souhtern tix are still available, i think many reasons. firstly, the populations there are simply not nearly as large as the north. secondly, not as many diehards. i am sure 10c knows their fanbase demographics. also, not playing any of the truly 'big cities' of the south. also, perhaps price, and NOT just of tickets...but gas/travel, etc. not al fans are willing to travel. also do not discount the fact that many jumped on bonaroo....an expensive proposition for many, and sure.....not much notice, getting time off work, etc. there are sooo many reasons.Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -
Ok, now why are there still Camden tickets available. I mean at this time yesterday there were 3 threads started about why the South sucks and can't support Pearl Jam.
This is hilarious, it makes all those people that were on here talking shit look pretty ignorant.Seeing visions of falling up somehow.
