no apolgies necessary my friend. I avoided your posts so as not to read spoilers
  • how long is the delay?
  • i see your light has gone out, releash...:(

the velasquez vs. o'brien fight just finished here. looks like we may have seen the first win of a possible contender at HW when we were in montreal. cain had another dominating win here. no question about a quick stoppage either.

the ending to the johnson vs. burns match was terrible. they gave a tko win to burns?!?! i was surprised at how well anthony johnson handled that. i don't know what i would have called it, but a tko for burns certainly would have been the last thing i expected after the break. he was warned repeatedly about the fingers in the eye and kept doing it...strange...he says he can't throw a closed jab? then why extend it as far as your opponent's face over and over if all you're doing is pawing with it? anyway, tough break for anthony. i thought he was winning the fight.

franca vs. edgar coming up...go hermes! :D

My light is back on! And I decided to screw the delay and watch the earlier fights on the card afterwards. So I'm watching the live feed .... Hermes France vs. Frankie Edgar just starting. Should be a great one!

Great first round. Hermes had that armbar in TIGHT!
  • sweet! i thought hermes had that armbar in the first!!!!, but otherwise, pretty much what i expected so far. hoping hermes can gradually start to get the better of the match...

Edgar is pretty much dominating the second round with the takedown and some ground and pound. I didn't want to tell you before the fight, but I picked Edgar on this one <ducks head>

Wow, I really missed talking with you guys!

looks like you made the right call, releash! :)

man, hermes had my heart racing with the armbar attempt in the third. if edgar had rolled the other way, he would have had it...and then the punches and the big knee at the end. tremendous fight by frankie edgar!

Good win for Edgar. Not the most exciting fight but Edgar was dominant throughout rounds 2 and 3. That knee was pretty close to dropping him. Sorry about Franca mookie

This should be an explosive fight between Silva and Irvin. I don't see it making it past the early second round. Of course I could be surprised but I think both guys are going to let their hands go pretty early.

that's cool. the fight kind of went how i expected it, but i thought hermes would be able to pull something out at the end. he should have shown more effort to get up earlier, but was seemingly content to wait for submission attempts. easy for me to say, eh? :D

anyway, i like the blue hair. :) it's still good to see him back. hope he can get the win next time, but kudos to frankie on a good win indeed.

    agreed.

i just checked the fantasy league. we're all getting high point totals tonight. all manador is out in front though! :)

The blue hair is vastly superior to the purple hair. ;) But I like the purple Ceg better than the blue one! :)

ps How did I miss that Brandon Vera had come down to 205 lbs? He looks great, much more lean.

Wow, Vera is FAST! I remember him being pretty quick on his feet in previous fights but he is lightening fast now.

ugh, I'm pulling up the rear in fantasy (again). Although congrats to All Manador for a superb performance thus far.

looks great, eh? he could be picking andy apart if he let the strikes go a bit more.
