Howard Stern

I've been catching up on Howard TV. They put up a lot of stuff last week. The Beetlejuice + Mr.T interview is hilarious. I love how Mr.T is trying to keep Beetlejuice calm, while Artie is trying to piss Beetlejuice off.

I do the same thing. I'm not a member either. It is a good place to see pictures from newspapers, etc.

I also don't like how you can't just scroll over the title of the thread to read the first post like here. I do that a lot here to see if the thread is worth reading.

Here is something else about Howard. Tell me if you think I'm an idiot for thinking this. But his P.R. group sucks. He goes onto Conan and Letterman and basically just taps into every stereotype people have of him. His normal apperence will be to go on and talk about something overtly offensive in order to get laughs. He will go on and talk about Sal teabagging Richard, or lesbians or what-not. Here is the problem: he is trying to sell Sirius. The people who are attracted to this type of humor already have decided to buy or not buy Sirius. These topics are Howard's stereotype across America. He doesn't need to go on and talk about someone getting teabagged, or strippers because people already assume that. He needs to go on and attract the people who would listen to the show amidst all of the craziness. I know this because I am one of those people. I don't really care for the strippers or porn stars, I just like the interviews and the commentary on different subjects. If he went onto Late Night TV to sell radios he needs to attract the audience that just wants good radio in the morning. But going on and playing the lesbian card is not going to add anyone new to the audience.

This is an excellent point. I, too, don't usually listen to the porn stuff/gross stuff. I prefer just the conversation, especially the arguing! Just talking with the cast is the best.

I too prefer conversation and interviews. The porn/stripper stuff is only enjoyable when the wack pack is involved.

I was just shocked that Howard, a first amendment advocate, would try to deny someone visiting the country the right to speak. I think it is just close-minded of howard to not listen to Ahmadinejad. He is talking about the speech now on the replay and it is clear that Howard did not even listen to the entire speech.
