It seems Artie is holding back alot - I mean he could've totally hammered Richard yesterday for all that Interview w/ the Vampire stuff. I am sure Thursdays fight is going to hurt the show in some ways.

Hopefully Artie will just leave. I thought the show was really good today without him. Everyone is excited about being there and it isn't brought down with Artie's whining.

lksammkt, you are in Sacramento? I work in Sac and live in Roseville. I think Corduroyboy, who posts in this thread a lot, lives around here too. Lots of Stern fans around here!

Don't be hating Artie - you know Howard has been defending him this whole time. Today's show was good - but again Richard exposed more of his 'Ledgends of the Fall' stuff. He is not on the bill for Killers of Comedy for the Jan 4th show.

I know Howard fired Cabbie from Sirius a few months ago but is it true he will not even speak to or speak of Crazy Cabbie anymore???
In todays NY newspaper there was an article about Cabbie aka Lee Mrozak, and how he is releasing the porn video he secretly recorded with ron jeremy and others in howards old krock studio.
Howard didnt even comment on it today. He usually would go nuts and defend himself.

wow! didn't know that.....i'm sure it will be brought up at some point......howard talked about his cousin's lawsuit.....but i don't think, and maybe for legal reasons, they can't talk about him....

Organic cosmetics company sues studios over 'Bee Movie' slogan

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A cosmetics company is suing the movie studios behind "Bee Movie" claiming it has already trademarked the marketing slogan "Give Bees A Chance" used in the movie's advertising.

Fort Lauderdale-based Beeceuticals LLC sells cosmetics and skin care products made with organic honey. The company filed an application to trademark the slogan in October 2006, the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit was filed Nov. 1 in federal court against Dreamworks Animation SKG, Inc. and Paramount Pictures Corp.

The animated film was released Nov. 2 and features the voice of Jerry Seinfeld, who also co-wrote and co-produced the movie.

Since March 2007, the slogan has been used more than 400 times on radio personality Howard Stern's satellite radio show to brand all Beeceuticals' products and services, the lawsuit said.

Stern is a cousin of Richard Gerber, who is a director of the cosmetics company, said the company's attorney Elliot M. Zimmerman.

"It's his mark. They can't use it," Zimmerman said. "They damaged us and cost us some people who would have bought from us . . . It's not right what they did."

The lawsuit said that in April and May 2007, a Beeceuticals marketing plan and other copyrighted works, including the slogan, were presented to the movie studios.

Zimmerman said experts were calculating the extent of financial damages caused to the company by the ads.

A spokeswoman for Paramount Pictures said it was the company's policy not to comment on pending litigation. A telephone message left at Dreamworks offices for comment was not immediately returned.

The writer's strike exposes Jay Leno even more. Decent at stand up , but weak overall . I agree with Howard when he points out that Jay never saw two sides of an issue he didn't like.

Speaking of the show over the last few days , The Grandma Caprio ( Howard ) v. Beth ( Artie ) megaphone wars have been hilarious. Today , the Avant Garde music with Fred adding monkey and dolphin sound effects had me rolling on the floor laughing with tears in my eyes. I hope the show does find a club or two to play or to parody avant garde music.

Agreed. I actually never watch leno. I'm not even sure stuttering john is still on? Is he???

I'm just catching it right now and am in tears. Dirty Work and Beer League may not show off Artie's true acting as well as this bit did. Hilarious! It's so great when Zulu is on!

Did Howard happen to talk about his old K-ROCK GM; Tom "Cheap Ass" Chiusano? Apparently the dude held a big meeting at K-Rock last friday and said " in hour I am gone and never coming back" and left the station for good.
