Anyway, Albertini scored and Marco van Basten.
    Good show all around.

marco van basten. he was a great player.

i think it's a real shame he had to go through so many injuries.

i still remember that goal in the euro finals in 1988.

No I didn't see the whole match either, but all the interviews and goals and when he walked round the field, and the fans cheered him on, I saw that.

Me too. Yeah all those defenders killed him. Back then tackleing from behind wasn't a problem for Fifa

well, talking about albertini i wonder:

who is the greatest italian player ever?

because when people talk about the big ones they say pele, maradona, beckenbauer, Cruyff, puskas, di stefano, etc. but they never say any italian player. (well, i never heard).

i know maldini, baresi, dino zoff, baggio, etc. but they are never named along
    the greatest ones.

so am i missing something here? or someone?

    what the italians think?

    No you're right

And I must say they are not in my greatset list also.
I do like Pirlo, R.Baggio, Albertini.

People pick creative players. Italie plays destructive, that's probably the reason.

Do you have a good image of Pele. I don't I saw a few goals and know how much he scored, but I can't see him in my mind.

i'm pretty sure it's real late up there...

If you have memories. I know he's one of the greats but I don't pick him, I pick Romario because I saw him play. And even of someone like George Best I've seen more film matirial. I never saw that much from Pele. So I only know what I am told.

well, my only memories are from what i saw on movies and tv shows. he retired before i was born...:)

but there is a real mistic about him over here. games, plays, the number of goals and the beauty of them, some funny tales, his world cup history, so many things.

don't know if it's avaialble over there but if it so you can check those 2 movies about him:

    Pele Forever - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420066/
    This is Pele - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0188004/

Hey cool I'll view that tomorrow, The only imagine I can recall is him being lifted as a 17 year old at the W.C. and the goal he scored from his own half.

And as a Brazilian, what are you'r sentaments on Maradona?

maradona was a great player, that left foot was magical.

i still remember that mexico'86 world cup. he carried the whole team on his back. and how about that 'england x argentina' game? probably one of the best single games by a player, ever. (even with the infamous 'god's hand' goal).

but the good things he had in his game he couldn't carry in his personal life.

bit who am i to judge that? talking football he was a hell of a player (no pun intended...)

p.s.: i don't even want to do the whole pele x maradona controversy because i believe they played in different times, so it's not worth the whole thing...

Ok 10points for u with the not compairing P/M, no use anyway Cruyff rules.HAhahahaha, OK 10 minus points for me. He had a tough life as a kid I guess not that stable, and then everyone jumped on his neck, wanting a piece of him, to make some money. Same with Ronaldo he's fucked up to, not as bad as maradona. But he's not the player he could have been. And that's not only because of his injuries. He's been ruined by the people around him same as Maradona.

Good for you and me we're not famous. Or are U?

Anyway I have to go to bed. Thanks for your time and I'll see you later.
