salas was awful, maas couldn't hit after hitting those home runs, sax couldn't throw, meacham was not a good player, ken phelps was traded for buhner, steve trout was the pitcher that steinbrenner claimed to pinella in 1987 that his acquisition would win the yankees the AL, hawkins tossed a no-hitter and lost.
The others were crappy, Hall treated Bernie Williams like crap in 1992, Tim Leary almost lost 20 games in 1990.
Basically a lot of inept moves in those days. Oh and I just realized I left out Ed Whitson, the man that challenged Billy Martin to a fight in Baltimore in 1985.Reading 2004

At the time that was bad, but looking back if Buhner has those monster years in right field for the Yankees, then you could think they might not get Paul O'neill.Reading 2004

ahhh, the memories.
Stankiewicz---how could anyone forget Stanky the Yankee? I bought my then 3 year old nephew a Staniewicz name and # T-shirt shortly after he was demoted, or traded. it was like $3 at Stan's
Matt Nokes---favorite memory--Clemens drills in the ribs with heater. A pissed off matt Nokes catches the ball between his ribs and his arm, and fires it back to Clemens, who didn't realize what happened right away (that it was Nokes firing it back at him and not his catcher)
Steve Farr/Steve Howe---my friends brother is a bleacher guy from way back. he once told me of a gimmick/chant they used to have back in those days: Howe---Farr---will they hit it? or something like that
Bob Wickman---I think it was 1993, he couldn't lose a game. he'd give up 6 rusn in 3 innings, and they would come back. Or he'd give up 4 runs in 5 innings and get a win. i remember him being 8-0 while teh mets had a guy naemed Anthony young who pitched halfway decent, not great by any means, but he had a 27 game losing streak spanning a couple seasons
Mike Stanley---I too was a big fan. when they showed the Girardi montage tonight, it reminded me of how much I hated the move to bring in girardi to replace Stanley. Didn't Stanley come back for a brief sting during the dynasty years?
Kevin Maas---I remember being so excited. We weren't just gonna get to watch his Hall of fame career, but he had a brother who was gonna be great too. Jason Maas
mel Hall---favorite memory. Trying to score on a base hit and he blows out a wheel 20-30 feet short of home plate. Goes down liek he was shot. Tries pathetically to crawl to the plate, but gets tagged out
here's a name that hasn't been mentioned----Alvaro Espinoza. Phil Rizzuto LOVED him0 -

Don't remember Mark Salas. Do remember Butch Wynegar. How about hal Morris? he'd make a great backup to Maas. I thought he was gonna be the next Mattingly. At least Sax got to play for the Mr. Burns All Star Team. Blowers was part of the Tino deal, right? I catch him some nights on the baseball package doing Mariners post game. Deion Sanders. possibly my most hated Yankee ever. Hitting .151, he demands a $ 2 million contract, or he's walking out, not playing any more0 -

uhm Hal morris was amazing after he landed on the Reds...until he had a really bad injury..was instrumental in their WS win with my boy Chris Sabo who played hockey and backed up John Vanbiesbrouck in the minors

i love mike stanley's batting stance. i use to try so hard to copy it in little league.
i remember pat kelly had an autograph session at a mall by my house when i was about 11. i waited on line for like 2 hours to get his signature. i was so proud to show off my pat kelly autograph baseball & rookie card to my friends! hahahaha.0 -
