Just picked up my dog's ashes today it was very depressing. My boy Caesar was a great dog and a very faithful friend who was with me and my girl for ten years. We had many good times together but he was recently diagnosed with cancer of the lymph nodes. It was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make to put my boy down to sleep. But all in all I have to keep telling myself that It was the best thing to do. Caesar had ten good healthy years and had been through thick and thin with me. He was really the best dog I have ever had! I really miss him sooo much, but I know he is in a better place in doggy heaven! I keep thinking about getting another rottie but now dog will ever replace Caesar. Not to mention my girlfriend will kill me. But all in all I have good things to look forward to. This week my girl should be delivering my first child! We don't know if its a boy or a girl and are keeping it a surprise! But I wish that Caesar could have met my kid! here are some pics!0

Truly sorry for your tragic loss. I too have a couple of boxes of ashes. Gods biggest blunder is....not giving dogs longer lives. Caesar was a beautiful boy, looks like he was soooo sweet too! Try to take it one day at a time, the pain of losing him will never go away, but it will soften over time. I lost my two Weims last year and got Petey only ten days after losing the second one Mason suddenly to epilepsy, and only 3 months after Uno died from cancer. They were only 9 and 6. It was the best decision ever for me to get a puppy. I would have sunk beyond low in depression, my dogs were everything to me. Petey has been a complete joy everyday since getting him, and I feel like he was hand picked by my other two boys and sent down to my family.
Lots of love coming your way.
Petloss.com was very helpful to me, check it out.

I'm so sorry for your loss....
MY little chihuahua is 14 years old and he has been under the weather here lately. I worry because whenever they do bloodwork, I always think that they're going to tell me that he has cancer or some other horrible disease!! He has a very sensitive stomach so sometimes certain things makes him have bloody diarrhea or vomit...the other day he was dehydrated so I had to leave him with the vet for 7 hours to hydrate him with an IV..I even had to give him gatorade! Poor little guy, I make him a pot of chicken and rice every four days because his stomach can't take much else. HE is on a Prescription I/D as well! I'm sorry to vent, I just worry! :(
Here is my little guy....

Ezra can't keep her eyes open.

hi everybody!
so, yesterday was 8months since surfer died. u all know how i miss him.
my dadd used to have a church on a residential street. across from it was a huge house with 3 big doggies. oneday i looked over and freaked OUT cuz i thought it was SURF!!! me and death ran across the street to get closer. it was not SURF but man did it look like his TWIN!!! Every sunday morning i would feel guilty about leaving surf at home while i went to church. once i'd get there, i'd see the twin. it made me happy. well TODAY i remembered about that doggie!!! i was feeling bummed out cuz i miss surfer and all of a sudden........i saw that doggie in my mind and i HADD to drive over there to see him. and i did. it gripped whats left of my blackened heart to see him. at the same time, it made me remember great years spent with surf. he barked and jumped at strangers just like surfer used to. ahhhhh it was pretty good to "see surfer" again.just thought i'd share.

That's so sweet - nice to know surfer has a doppleganger out there. It will be one year on April 15 since my cat Stella died. She was almost eighteen years old, we adopted her when she was six months old. I think about her everyday, I miss her so much. I'm thinking about the Cherry blossom tree we buried her under, I won't be able to see it bloom this spring cause I'm overseas - it makes me sad. And I miss my dog sooooo much that it hurts. Sorry didn't mean to go off and have my own pity party there. Hope all is well with you - take care and make sure you check on Surfer II often.

This is Lola. She is a cross between a Yellow Lab and a Polar Bear. She enjoys cuddling with her mommy and daddy, exploring new places, and sleeping. One day she hopes to have a little brother to play with.
