    Boston lost though

Maybe we'll pull another miracle comeback?

Yep, Boston lost. Seattle just getting underway now.

That Shelley Duncan HR saved my teams from taking a loss from Phil Hughes. Of course, it also cost me a win from Eric Bedard. Damn fantasy sports makes you watch the game from an entirely different perspective.

Gut punch loss. Wasted Arod's four hits and Shelley's homerun.

Jeter and Mo need some time off. They are cooked.

I would have liked to see Joba work the 10th in a tie game.

    UGLY.

Yea ...Jeter has looked really out of it lately. Weak hitting, errors, no energy. Wake up capt!

& I now truly can't stand facing baltimore. they OWN yanks this year. and last if im not mistaken

I was so excited when Duncan hit the home run. I had a feeling he or Giambi (if he had pinch hit) would hit it. Then i get on the train from Canal to 50st. And we're down 3 again. At least Boston and Seattle lost.

First Round Pick Andrew Brackman signed with the Yanks yesterday.
"Brackman confirmed that he agreed to a major league contract with New York worth $4.5 million. Of that total, $3.3 million is a signing bonus.

If Brackman meets certain performance goals, the contract could be worth as much as $13.8 million."

He was on one of the local sports talk stations this afternoon for a quick interview call in from his home town of Cincinnati. Apparently he knows Paul O'Neil and works out at the same gym.

I caught up on this week's Bronx is Burning last night. Didn't expect to see my alma mater in an episode. :) Steinbrenner just made a big donation to the UNC baseball program and will have a courtyard in front of the new stadium named after his family. Apparently it was at Carolina that his daughter met the infamous Steve Swindal who was in line to become the next boss until their recent divorce.

    Interesting!
Yeah that was funny, he busted into the dorm room and asks to watch the game! And the kids were like "George Steinbrenner?!" Very funny. Then he asks for a 'soda pop'! I love it.

How do you guys do this fancy link thing where instead of an http address, it's the actual words that go into the link?

    Thanks.

Some interesting notes from today's game:

According to FOX, the 2-1 double play to end the third was the first one in 21 years. the last instance was 7/22/1986 when San Francisco's Bob Melvin and Juan Berenguer combined to throw out St. Louis' Vince Coleman.

When Detroit's Cameron Maybin hit his first career home run off Clemens he became the seventh player to do. Others were Jon Rauch, Beau Allred, Sandy Martinez, Sammy Sosa, Pedro Swann and Robin Ventura.

That being said, these last two wins offer a lot to be positive about. even kyle farnsworth..

Sosa and Ventura. Impressive company. He goofed up that fly ball that dropped though.
I didn't see the end of the game, what did Farnsworth do?
