What a game! Nothing is better than beating the crap out of a first place team that is supposed to be so great, and to light up a goalie thats supposed to be unbeatable (well, maybe a decade ago). What an all around great game. Fantastic penalty killing, especially with that 3 on 1 shorthanded goal. The powerplay even clicked, granted on a 5 on 3, but who cares. That goal they got at the end of the second worried me that they were going to spark a comeback, but not happening. Onto Toronto and then the Olympic break, hopefully still in first!

I had absolutely no delusions that they would. Even when they pulled to 3-2. Damn the Islanders suck. And damn the Rangers are good, really good.

don't hold ur breath waiting for help from that team

I dont know why we are getting all this bullshit when the team is doing so well, but :

    fridays NYR game
against Toronto is on FSN @ 7pm.
FSNY - here we go again.

we could also use help from montreal and hope they can knock off the sabres. just for an additional , little, cushion. Our play is confident now, so its all good.

FSN does HD, so I'm good. Lets hope that Washington and Ottawa can beat the Flyers as well. Although we really don't want Ottawa to win. Lesser of two evils? I don't know.

No Klee, and no Lindros for them Leafs.
Belfour has been on a little mini- hot streak, as well!
If we got to the Dominator, Im sure we can muster up something against Ed.
we have to wait till the 19th to see team USA go against our King Henrik.
Feb 26th for the gold game. WOW that seems so far off- i know once the competition begins it will go fast, but damn !

Lets Go USA ( everyone can dream, eh ? )

    Great win, still in 1st.
Flyers won also , so nothings changed in that regard.
Jagr seems more and more confident each passing game, slapping his blade on the ice calling for the one-timer.
Henrik is like a sponge .
1 more game then a 2 week layoff. Hope everyone rests and noone is injured during olympics.

That was an awesome game. I was going nuts when Jagr scored his two goals. And Poti's goal was awesome. When I saw them clear the puck, I thought, the penalty just ended, isn't this where the guy storms out of the box, grabs a loose puck and has a breakaway? Sure enough. Nice shot. And so was Sykora's. He roofed it.

Hopefully Weekes will be decent tonight and they can go for 6 straight wins. Too bad I can't really watch the game, as I'll be at MSG for Billy Joel!

Thanks man, I will. It sounded like the Garden was rocking last night. I loved it when the crowd kept singing Sweet Caroline even though play resumed in the third. Awesome.
