olympics came at a horrible time for us ,,but we shall overcome

    don't shovel too much !!

    LET'S GO RANGERS!

I checked out some of the highlights once I finally go home from seeing Billy Joel, which was awesome, BTW. I hope Jagr can keep up this kind of production after the break. Nice to see Weekes not blow it either. Thats what makes a good backup. Now if only it would stop snowing!

hey it seems like an eternity-
is anybody watching / enjoying the olympics?
I tell you all 1 thing- that was some scary stuff seeing Jagr down there on the ice ! Hope he is feeling better quick! Apparently, he was able to retrun to the next game, but could only play for 2 periods as he felt ill.I didnt actually see that game, or that hit, but I saw highlights and almost crapped my trousers. Down in a pool of blood - that was not only scary but also shocking- this guy is always so strong and fit- here are some photos of the incident. I like how Malik stood right up for not only his Olympic teammmate but also his NYR teammate.
I'll be happy when this tournament will be over and they are all on their way home to NY to face the Flyers 3-2 .

King Henrik not only steers our NYR ship, he's steering that team Sweden Ship also !
Funny seeing teammates battling against one another !
2-1 after 1st period- this serves as a minor diversion-
when really i cant wait for tuesday night when the NHL resumes & Thursday Night for our boys in blueshirts down in philly !

hey NYPJ1- it indeed has been a while- & i hope all is well with you also ! i had to go retrieve this thread on like page 12 ! LOL
figured get it back up & going in anticipation of thursday.

no team has ever came back from 3 down in the 3rd, so right now, it looks like swedens game to lose.
glad to see Jagr back up and skating - hope there are no residual effects from that nmasty spill in the earlier rounds. When i saw that in the papers and on the news, i almost crapped my pants .

hey and how about that new 10 second clip? that sounds C R A Z Y ! How the hell is ed gonna sing that song every other night ???? unless they lay it down on a pre- recorded sample ! ( * NOT )

I hope they can schedule around the Rangers at MSG . Its clear the Knicks arent going anywhere- so bring on Pearl Jam at The Garden - part 2 !

    Lets Go Rangers ! ;)

you're gonna love it ! & how is matt ? i assume thats moster- havent seen him around since the toronto games,...we'll all be back in no time ! scroll back and view those 3 or 4 photos i uploaded here- jagrs ordeal. notice how malik went right to the guy on finland,...thats awesome !

fu*& the Knicks . This is a Ranger town right now anyway . Hopefully MSG can coordinate around the shows . There are always road games in any series weather 5 game or 7 game ! ;) Nothing for nothing but that small a venue -scares me a little-- true--very awesome- but availability for tickets would be scarce- keep it real and plentiful at the Garden as far as NYC is concerned---please!

I forgot to mention this... MSG wants playoff money by march 8th
surprisingly ..im entitled to every game of every round which is awesome
didnt think this would be the case with a 15 game plan

the cool thing is /// 1st round $9 more a ticket
    2nd round $12 more a ticket
    3rd round $17 more a ticket
    stanley cup.....?????

i hope i need to find out ... these prices are based on 1 blue seat
but all things considered i think its pretty cheap for the playoffs

Nice to see someone resurrect the thread. I'm still here and kicking. I must've spent all of last weekend watching Olympic hockey in wonderful HD at my parents house. Nothing beats a 50 inch plasma. I can't wait for the NHL to resume, but in the meantime I'm pulling for Lundqvist to carry Sweden to the gold. I just think it would be an insane confidence booster for him, like he needs it, and maybe prove to Renney once and for all that Weekes is just the backup.

    how about King Henrik ?
That gold medallion should boost up his already high confidence -- for sure !
I read yesterday that Renney will be starting Weekes in Philly for the first game back, and that we might possibly see alot of the Wolfpack players up for that game- to give the regs and Olympians a break and time to adapt back to the time chnges and get over jetlag.
Here we go again,... stay healthy boys !

I read about Weekes starting and the Wolfpack players. Thankfully Simon Gagne is hurt, so the Flyers are without their top scorer, but Forsberg will be back, so that'll be tough.

Great game yesterday, I was so happy to see Henrik take that gold, and damn did he play brilliantly in the third. Can't wait for the season to resume on Thursday night for the boys in blue!

yes i read about Holt being called up from Hartford. It was posted on the press releases site.http://newyorkrangers.com/pressbox/pressreleases.asp?id=1956
I didnt hear about that tax thing, I had assumed it was because they will probably give King Henrik off a game or two- to adapt back to timezone, jetlag, ect,.. Maybe this would require a backup on the bench for Weekes.
I'm hoping we finally get to see Jarkko Immonen. This guy recently broke ( or tied ) a record in Hartford by scoring 5 goals in 1 game.
Also- i heard that Jagr tweaked his groin in the Bronze game against Russia . Hopefully, both he and Prucha are coming along nicely, We will need both these guys to stand ground for that #1 spot in the east.

I never thought I'd ever be looking forward as much as I am for the NHL to return ! Even excited to see those islanders tommorow night,
since we have to wait till thursday ! ( Yes !- Gagne-less Flyers up next )

yea he was called up to pratice with the team and maybe get a start..probably more for the pratices,, but i forgot if it was the post or the news that mentioned the everyday fine? whatever ...its not our money

injury repoet.. betts almost ready back on the ice skating
..prucha riding stationary bike ?? dont know timetable
.. jagr did hurt groin ,, hopefully not too serious but thats a scary injury because u cant fuck it up bad if u return to soon ..ie forsberg

    it was very cool

I'll be interested to see some new faces, just for the hell of it. If some of the guys are tired and hurting, throwing some Wolfpack guys in for a game can't hurt.

On a sidenote, anyone know when playoff tickets go on sale?
