I made it home just in time for The Sopranos too! Savard scored, I just got up and left en masse with everyone else. Ran down the stairs and into Penn and just caught a train leaving for my station. I hope they pull it together. Tough game against Carolina coming up away.

the olympics really are turning out to be an omen as far as this team is concerned. Quite possibly the worst thing to happen to us since, well, the 1940 jinx.
Perhaps its time to infuse the team with youth, fresh faces, fresh, strong skating legs? a look at Jaarko Immonen posssibly ? Also some more physical presence-( no disrespect to Orr)but it seems we are being outhit, along with outplayed !

Lets hope the boys spring back to life tonight. The skid must stop! Thankfully Philly is playing just as bad as us, so we've been able to hold onto first. Not going to stay that way for long if we don't put a few notches in the W column.
I'm cautiously optimistic that they will start to get back on track tonight. The last couple of games have been rediculously frustrating, especially watching Lundqvist stand on his head while getting no help (flashbacks to Richter circa 95-retirement). Hopefully with Prucha back in the lineup scoring will pick up again. Does anyone know if Malik is going to play tonight?

since malik has been out, we have lost. like i said a few posts ago, we need him back asap . he sets up the offense as much as being a physical defensive force .
Our forwards are being hit and hit again,and again--- with little or no retributuion.Put Hollweg and Orr in the lineup a few games- get some physical force out there- when old man Brind'A'Mour is intimidating your lineup, youve got problems.

And now is when I start to worry. If they can't pull something together during this upcoming homestand, I think its safe to say that although they'll make the playoffs, they won't go far. Here's to hoping for the best. I know they can rebound. I noticed on the pre-game that they kept talking about traffic in front of the net, but it still wasn't there half the time. When it was, good things happened.
and please, STOP playing " sweet caroline " in the arena----that song should be reserved solely for the victorious lockerroom- i thought it was the teams new victory song of sorts?

Definitely need to just throw the puck at the net and go for rebounds. The goals don't need to look pretty and they don't need to put on a show out there. Hell, I prefer hard earned ugly as hell goals to a pretty wrister or something. Hopefully Malik's return will also energize them. Need this win.
