I'm a fan of gender roles in general, to be quite honest. In the shadow of the light from a black sun

Where are the frost giants Ive begged for protection?

even flow? wrote:The story about guys staring at George Brett's crotch more than women on the link you provided is kind of a neat study.
It's kind of like going to the ballet. When they've got the cinnamon roll wrapped up in tights and their bouncing it around right in your face it's kind of hard not to notice it. Now since I am gender equality focused I fantasize about all the ballarinas I'd like to bang as well. And my wife thinks I like the ballet for it's artistic qualities.....ha. I've also perfected the art of sleeping with my eyes open during the ballet.one foot in the door
the other foot in the gutter
sweet smell that they adore
I think I'd rather smother

Blame society, social norms, reality, what have you. It's up to the individual to find a mate that doesn't have characteristics that drive the other nuts. If you hate women who refuses to carry their own bags, find a woman who actually carries her own. There are plenty out there.0

Why would you be?
I don't care for the aspects that say women should stay at home and pump out children, but I do like the harmless things like men opening doors for women and all that sweet stuff. I like that there are "manly" things and "girly" things. In the shadow of the light from a black sun

a manly thing is opening doors and a girly thing is what? letting the man open the door?0 -
i don't mind that guys open doors for me. but only if they get there first. if i get to the door first then i will gladly hold it open for whoever is behind me regardless of gender. if i invite a guy out then i will pay the admittance or whatever. but generally i win in that, cause he ends up paying for my drinks.
but basically in a relationship you do for me and i'll do for you. it all evens out in the end.hear my name

Ah so it's ok to take advantage of social norms until you have to live with it?
Cause if it carried on into the kitchen it'd be a totally different story. But as long as it's in your favor, it's cool. I don't mean you exactly, but it's the general idea.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. maybe you do. there definitely are women who are opposed to engagement rings, what with the blatant consumerism issues and all--debeers popularizing the diamond, making it seem so rare and targeting it to girls as they grow up. not to mention the blood diamond issues and the messages being sent by only the woman getting and wearing the ring, like it's a branding or something. it's like 'you're wearing this and you're mine--you're promised to me'. i can understand the symbolism behind wedding rings, but not engagement rings.
and how insulting was it when diamond companies started marketing rings for single, monied women to wear on their right hand? i think very.if you wanna be a friend of mine
