It's an undeniable fact, weight of belief does not equal weight of evidence !! NO matter how many middle-agers believed that the world was flat with a sun revolving around it, did not make it true. Noe did it make St Anthony's Fire divinne vengeance, rahter than the ergot poisoning it really was.

New agers take a little bit of fact and spin a lot of fiction around it, then point to the litte fact to prove them right. It's wishful thinking, they want the world to be a better place, they want to believe that goo, positive thoughts will produce good outcomes. That's not the problem. It's when you mystify simple things and let people die of cnacer because they "believe" themselves cured by bullshit that it becomes a problem.

All evolution is based on the hexagon? Ok, its true that bezene is hexagonal, and many important biological molecules are also based on hexagonal aromatic rings, but equally important are pentagonal rings. And let's mnot forget that benzene is only twwo-dimensional hexagonal in the crude representation we draw on paper. Drawing atoms and molecules like that is convenient, but obscures the three dimensional complexity of what is really happening. UNSURPRISINGLY, IT'S A GOOD PLACE FOR ERROR TO CREEP IN.

I was merely kidding. I don't care very much for any of this. I believe nature is not perfect and we see in this imperfection whatever we want (very much) to see, wether it's a cold chemical explanation à la Ahnimus or the thought of positive and negative vibration like the threadstarter. In that case I don't think I understand your sugar reference either. . . I was thinking more nerdy thoughts about the structure of sugar molecules. . .

There are dynamics here that are past science and fact. That are about bad attitudes and intepretation/agenda that can be and are harmful, that stem from the doctor's/scientist's own lacking training, or unhealed psyche, and that in terms of health for example, actually contribute to health problems for individuals far and wide.

To imagine the good/bad attitude or "vibe" a scientist or doctor brings to the situation does not contribute negatively to it is a false view. And to consider that such contribution doesn't matter when it's detrimental and due to a lack of inner health coming from the practitioner in question, is a faulty view, imo.

Thought I'd toss in....

Didn't Mythbusters determine playing heavy rock or metal music on ghetto blasters in the greenhouses made their bean plants grow a lot better....no CO2 influence.

Not sure how scientific it was but, it made for an interesting show, and they seemed convinced (plausible) by it.

I like the concept that nothing really ever touches anything...it comes within a close enough distance to interact and exchange vibrational or electrical energy so to speak.

When you pick something up or use your mouse for example your hand is not really touching anything, just exchanging energy with it.

I'm undecided on the idea of writing words an a piece of paper can emit an emotion to inanimate objects. What happens of you mispell a word. Or spell live instead of love. Is their that much different energy emanating between an I and an O inkwise?

The interpretation of the human mind however is much greater than water.

What kinda ruined it for me is the fact the Emoto is selling his special "magic" water. Why would he do that?

The concept is there...the practicality from a scientific approach is not. It's a very grey area.
