    I have a dream.....

One day, the Humorless and Rhythmless will build bridges of communication and love. Bridges we can all walk over....hand and hand.....together and unite, in the middle. A bridge which joins our hearts, our minds, our souls ......and our bodies, as ONE.

    I'm just sayin'.

now that's it's "over"...the situation can be seen in its true light...

    how's that go again...?

    oh yeah...

    I took a drive today
    Time to emancipate
I guess it was the beatings made me wise
But I'm not about to give thanks or apologize
I couldn't breathe holdin' me down
Hand on my face kissin' the ground
    Enmity gauged united by fear
'Posed to endure what I could not forgive...

    I seem to look away
    Wounds in the mirror waved
It wasn't my surface most defiled
Head at your feet fool to your crown
Fist on my plate, swallowed it down
    Enmity gauged, united by fear
Tried to endure what I could not forgive

    Saw things
    Clearer
Once you, were in my...Rearview mirror...

I gather speed from you fucking with me
Once and for all I'm far away
    I hardly believe, finally the shades...are raised...hey...

    Saw things so much clearer
    Once you, once you...
    Rearview mirror

    Saw things so much clearer
    Once you...oh yeah...

at the end of the day...this situation will be seen as one big joke....

Amazingly, Oprah makes a stereotypical race-based comment and no one bats an eye.

In the first segement Oprah brought out the RU Women's team and praised them, compared them to Maya Angelou. Then she and Vivian Stringer recounted this whole story again.

In the 2nd segment, Oprah had a hip-hop dance instructor on, and brought various people on stage to try the moves. One white lady states that she doesn't have any rhytmn!

After Oprah watches her dance she says... "Yeah you do dance like a White Girl".

As a "white man" I am deeply offended, deeply insulted, deeply wounded, emotionally devastated and I fear for my life; when black racists are permitted to insult and denigrate the dancing skills of my race!

oprah doesnt look like don imus... oprah is ok with me...that creepy motherfucker is not :)

it doesn't bother me that she said that, but that is definitely a double standard.

    'nappy headed hoes'

'you dance like a white girl'

they both sound discriminatory in a mild fashion. who gets mad about shit like this though?

    GEES!

the point here is don imus looks like a mushroom head

the rutger's ncaa team is like maya angelou? what the fuck? 1) nobody gives a shit about women's basketball and 2) every basketball team in the country is full of black people... why is the rutger's team some sort of beacon of ethnic pride?

No, that is not racist, but it is racist to say you swim like a black man!

Let's just put all the stereotypes out there and see what sticks.

Are you making discriminatory and biggoted accusations and implication regarding my sexual orientation, masculinity and against the sexual orientation of homosexuality in general? That's discrimination! You bigot! Hater!

Furthermore, you are a bigot and discriminator against people who may possibily be unemployed at this time (which I am not)!!!!

    Why you such a hater?

I think this thread is pretty childish especially your behaviour, NMyTree. You have a good point, though. There probably is a double standard. And I think most black people think this Al Sharpton character is a tool. Nevertheless, some people will always be offended and I think you are one of them.

Good find, you got me there! Is there a whiteathlete.net? Us whities should really do something about that.
One thing we need to realize is that we are all prejudice to some degree and some stereotypes are true. That is what makes them stereotypes. I am white and I cannot jump nor do I have many dance moves, I am okay with that. That doesn't make it true for all white people.
If Oprah had said to a black girl, "You dance like a white girl!" Now that's funny, not racist.

I think I am having some deja-vu..... have we been here before?

Oh, by the way, this discussion will never end.....

I guess you're talking about the Cablanasian? That's what Tiger calls himself. It's short for "Caucasian, black and Asian.
