How can you claim to be some authority on what is and isn't Cornell's best music when you haven't even heard Seasons or Sunshower?! Seasons is on the Singles soundtrack, which if you don't have that means you probably haven't heard Pearl Jam's State Of Love And Trust and Breath - two of their best tunes!

Off topic but I think Breath is a shitty song. Never did anything for me. SOLAT is legendary though.

    Your welcome :)

Also one of the people I was on holiday with was Sian so couldn't resist looking at that one :p
Haha. :p She gave me three ingredients - Dave, Zombies and herself, and let me come up with my own joke. 40 minutes later, there was a comic strip labelling Sian as a Jagermeister-addicted, Dave's-intestines-eating zombie. The internet: where truth happens. :D

I havent heard of those songs because I dont have the soundtrack, and I'm 19 so I guess Im a tad young. Just because I didnt hear them doesn't mean I havent heard solat and breath. They only played solat about 1,000 times in 06/07.

Given the embarrassment of awesome tunes on there I think those people would be a tad mental.

Hey I'm not arguing that the soundtrack isn't awesome. But I can totally imagine that there are many pj fans who got Breath and State through file-sharing programs, live albums, or the greatest hits album and just never bothered to seek out the soundtrack. and they probably should...but not just to get their grunge fix, but because the version of SOLAT on the greatest hits is different from the soundtrack

Unrehearsed and unplanned and sheer perfection:

I'm sitting here doing some work with iTunes running on shuffle (the best way to listen to you tuneage), headphones on and BAM!!!...the deadly and acoustic "Like Suicide" shuffled it's way into my ears.

I literally stopped what I was doing just to focus and listened to those echoey and layered background vocals in the last minute of that 6 minute gem.

Damn. I just waxed awe-like over an old Soundgarden tune in a thread about "Long Gone". I think I'm gonna cry now.

I'm sorry, but that's really true!

    I'm 20, and I've had the soundtrack since I was... 16 or 17, I think. Age is no excuse, I'm afraid. :p

Man that "never far away" song had me rolling on the floor...we are all looking at this wrong. Chris has actually gone from great rock icon to the world's greatest comedian.

And it gets even funnier...he really is comparing this to Dark Side of the Moon...a modern day Dark Side of the Moon they say in the interview. Stop it Chris, you're killing me.

This actually made me listen to the interview again... and I realised something. Remember when Chris used to be a funny motherfucker in interviews? A really dark sense of humour, admittedly, but it was always great. Now he's really serious and, yeah, self-absorbed. Middle age has really changed him. :(

Is that more or less of a mid-life crisis than buying a designer French restaurant?

I've never heard this one before, thought you were all referring to one of the decent songs on Carry On or something.
