I didn't like it...I've only listened to it live last night...but I wasn't crazy about it. I'll give it a couple more listens though...
I'm with you on this, but I think the majority of the initial dislike is due to the fact Conan was horrible. Everything about the show sucked to me so by the time PJ came on I was ready to just shut the TV off...and the fact I had to wake up at 5am and the show ends around 1am made me a little grumpy too
Are you insane? I probably laughed more often in the first 10 minutes of that show than I did in the past 10 years at Leno.
Listened to it about 5-6 times now. Like it more and more.

I was just going to ask if anyone had the name...thanks...I think it is funny that a lot of people think it was the fixer....The more and more I listen to it I like it...rock on pj
I thought it was the fixer too...but I think it's funnier to me that the first thought came to me was a "quickie" when I first saw/heard it on Conan and then find out the name of the song was "Get Some".
Anyway, like you the more and more I listen to this and watching it over and over...it's growing on me and I'm liking it!
Though still having trouble making out some of Ed's singing....but that's typical of ed.
I'm also loving the new Stoney - his hair and how he's into it! No more shy Stone!

It took me three listens to decide that the new song f*&%ing ROCKS! I hope the rest of the album follows suit. I thought Stone's guitar was central to the song, which is great. Where is Boom? I wonder how much he plays on the new stuff? . . . Can't wait for Ed in Albany on Monday. Wondering what different stuff he will play. . . I'm thinking a solo version of "In My Tree" with Liam on drums would be crazy. . . any other thoughts???

Woah woah woah, you thought Conan sucked?!?! How is that possible? The show last night was great, and not just because of Pearl Jam. It was an awesome first show!
I like it...did anyone else notice Ed run to the drum riser so to not look tiny next to Conan...that man is tall
I noticed that too! Or maybe he just wanted to get closer to Matt, who was on fire last night -- awesome drumming! I loved how Conan kept thanking them too -- I love Conan!
I like it...did anyone else notice Ed run to the drum riser so to not look tiny next to Conan...that man is tall
How tall is Eddie anyway?
I think most of us would look short next to Conan -- he's 6'4".
Eddie looks short next to Pearl Jam. That doesn't really matter to me - I'd love Eddie at 7 feet or 3 feet. I was just wondering about how tall him might be so that my fantasties of him could be more realistic.
And if there's something you'd like to do. Oh, just let me continue to blame you.
Conan did suck. I have mixed emotions, I thought the band was into it, totally rocking, good to see stone moving a bit. The song is new and I could bet a rough performance of it. Ed will get it. The song had a "catchy" chorus! mixed feelings but I know after I hear the album a few times or even this song, it made me feel that I can turn it up and really enjoy it. Can't wait for the album PJ!!

Nice, you are correct. I was wondering about the name of this album. There has to be another reason though? Like why would they name the turtle backspacer?? Whats up PJ??
To be perfectly honest, the song sounded disjointed to me. I agree with people who are saying Ed sounded a little off, but it wasn't just his voice, I just thought the vocal melody wasn't that great and didn't fit particularly well with the music. Also, while there were some really cool breakdowns in the song, and the bridge was awesome, it didn't feel like it necessarily fit together particularly well. To me it sounded like a song that was still a work in progress.
But whatever, this is just based on my first listen, and my opinion could definitely change over time. And if not, I don't need to love every song. Plus, this is definitely a song I could still rock out to in concert.

I thought the song was excellent and Conan was not that bad. I think too many people are trying to compare him to Jay Leno and really he just did what he normally does...being goofy.
Back to PJ... I thought the song rocked! I did think Eddie's voice sounded a little rough, but the sound quality was not really that great either so maybe that had something to do with it as well. I can't wait to stand in line at the electronics counter at Target to purchase my new PJ Album!

Nah, it was a great. The Universal Tour was great. Running all the way across America, and then forgetting his keys, was great. Will Ferrell was great, as usual. Joe Biden ("I like chimichangas. Do you have swine flu?") was great.

I completely agree. I seemed like he needed to warm up with a few songs before playing that one- maybe backstage or something.

It seems like he's trying (subtly) to accuse PJ of plagiarism - that it sounded similar to Devo's 1978 "Gut Feeling".
