Are you insane? I probably laughed more often in the first 10 minutes of that show than I did in the past 10 years at Leno.

Seriously? I htought it was a weak show.

Nah, it was a great. The Universal Tour was great. Running all the way across America, and then forgetting his keys, was great. Will Ferrell was great, as usual. Joe Biden ("I like chimichangas. Do you have swine flu?") was great.

I worry about the sense of humor on this board sometimes. I got some if you need it.

I'm with you on this, but I think the majority of the initial dislike is due to the fact Conan was horrible. Everything about the show sucked to me so by the time PJ came on I was ready to just shut the TV off...and the fact I had to wake up at 5am and the show ends around 1am made me a little grumpy too :o[/quote]

Agreed...my God that was painful to watch. Conan has never been my favorite and last night just reaffirmed my thought that he is not funny....to me anyway. I know a lot of people like him. I guess Letterman will always be the best to me, but I guess it's because I grew up with him. ALMOST turned it off during the Will Ferrell interview but stuck it out to see Pearl Jam and glad that I did. Can't wait to see Ed in the ATL in a few weeks.

I am not a regular fan of Conan's... or even Jay Leno's. I don't watch TV, but I did find his silliness excessive, but I love his facial expressions when making jokes - not too many comedians do that and not comfortable using their body languages when making jokes.

I do need to lighten up at times but for the most part, I do (I think) manage to retain my sense of humor. ;)

While I appreciate Will Ferris' unique sense of humor, I am not fan of his. I'll just leave it at that - different tastes for different folks. :)

I actually thought it was pretty catchy for a first listen. Ed though, sounded tired and like he was reaching. I hate that he did not sound like he always does in concert. So many people love to talk crap since they have never seen them live. He kinda looked like he knew he was having a tough time.

It sounded to me like Eddie couldnt hear himself very well, on top of that, Pearl Jam is the first musical guest in a new studio, they probably have to work out some small problems with the sound. But the song rocks and it just makes me wonder when the single is coming out and when they are going to announce tour dates for september. Is it me or are they keeping the details more quiet than usual?

Wow, that song was AWESOME!! What a rocker! I actually had to ask my hubby at one point 'who's replacing Stone?' - he was so uncharacteristically crazy and I loved every second of it. I can't wait for the UC shows and the new album!!!!

I thought Stone looked great. Appearance wise Stone looked like a twenty year old playing with a bunch of forty year old men. I love Eddie but he did look like Russel Crowe in State of Play. Overall, I thought Mike, Matt and Stone rocked out and Eddie's voice was drowned out but I liked the song.

I thought pj’s performance was great and I like the song too. I can see the song might be challenging for some listeners. For whatever reason I didn’t get “Not For You” the first time I heard it. I really didn’t like it and now think it is one of their finest. For those of you who thought the sound was bad or a little off . . . I think some of the guitar parts had some serious distortion (Stone at the end of the song). A heavy dose of distortion is good (IMO). I’m pretty damn excited about the next few months!
