Ok, I posted in this thread somewhere earlier, but have since received some very exciting news. Ok, so, as I previously said, I have a good friend who works for the Wachovia Center/Spectrum and they told me that Pearl Jam was playing 4 shows at the Spectrum in October. Well, I was recently able to see the Wachovia Center/Comcast Spectrum calender of events, and Pearl Jam has 5 dates on hold at the Spectrum, October 27 - 31. Right now it is only a hold on the dates so my friend tells me that there's no contract is in yet, but that, even so, it's practically guaranteed. In case you're wondering, Bruce is scheduled to play the Spectrum earlier in October and Phish at the end of September. There's nothing scheduled at the Spectrum after Pearl Jam, so it would appear that Pearl Jam will be the last band to play the Spectrum.

That would be sick, please let this hold up.

Wow! Nice!!! A Halloween Jam!!!!

So, I might be wrong here but, does this mean that they could play any of those 5 days- it doesn't actually mean they will play 5 days in a row. Maybe do something like they did in San Fran back in 06: play 2 nights in a row and then take a night off, and then play one more?

5 days won't equal 5 shows. Probably 3 shows over that 5 day period.

everything that I've heard is 4 shows, maybe back to back maybe not
If I knew where it was I would take you there, there's much more than this!

Could be. 4 shows would have to have a day in between - so if that was the case it would be 2 shows, an off-day and then another 2 shows.

I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...

This sounds promising!! I wonder if 10-C could get a big ticket allotment; The Spectrum uses its own ticketing service, and PJ had to have leverage because of how they're scrambling to book a few more acts before tearing down the venue.

Ya know, sometimes I think people say this stuff just to give me a semi. Anyway, I'll be there for all three. Well, unless there's a Phils home game during that time, which there most likely will be.

This is good news, I would still be surprised if they played 3 days in a row though.

Yes, I can safely say I could die peacefully right after these events.

There was almost a playoff play-in game at CBP the night of the 2005 Philly show, but we got eliminated the day before.

That was my first thought too. I don't recall the last time they did this. Maybe Sept 11-13, 2005?

Looks like they did three straight in South America too, but they don't do it often. This will be something special.

This is true. All I know is I'm not missing one of those games. So hopefully there will be rain, and the series is going into November anyway. So that may be a good thing.
