I posted the dates before as 10/28, 10/29 and 10/31. Those dates are 100% accurate and confirmed. They won't be officially announced until July, but heard this from a very reliable source.
JULY?
the Philly shows won't be announced until the 2nd week in July, after Ed's solo tour concludes,...
Let's hope all the remaining dates are announced at the same time.
1993 - Dallas ~~~ 1995 - Red Rocks I & II | Austin ~~~ 1998 - St Louis | Kansas City | Dallas | Raleigh | Atlanta | Birmingham | Greenville | Knoxville | Virginia Beach ~~~ 2000 - New Orleans | Memphis | Nashville | Noblesville | Cincinnati | Columbus | Houston I & II | Dallas | Las Vegas | LA | San Diego | San Bernardino | Sacramento | San Francisco ~~~ 2003 - OKC | San Antonio | Houston | Dallas | Little Rock | Camden I & II | MSG I & II ~~~ 2004 - Boston I & II | St Louis ~~~ 2005 - Gorge | Vancouver | Kitchener | London | Hamilton ~~~ 2006 - Las Vegas | Gorge I & II | Honolulu ~~~ 2008 - MSG I & II ~~~ 2009 - Seattle I & II | Vancouver | Portland | ACL | Philly I-IV ~~~ 2010 - Kansas City | St Louis ~~~ 2011 - PJ20 I & II ~~~ 2013 - Wrigley | Dallas | OKC ~~~ 2014 - ACL I | Tulsa | Moline | St Paul | Milwaukee | Denver ~~~ 2022 - OKC ~~~ 2023 - FW I & II | Austin I & II ~~~ 2024 - Seattle I & II [80]
Some people to be certain that the shows will be October 29, 30, 31 while others seem to think that the shows are definitely October 28, 29, 31...i guess we will have to wait for the announcement to get the actual set of dates
Heard from Matt Cord on WMMR Philly this morning that it was clear that Eddie was being coy with saying, "Say goodbye to it (the Spectrum) for me." He then said, "yeah, they're definitely playing there this fall."
Cord does not lie and is never wrong when it comes to PJ. I believe he is close w/ Jeff as they played basketball together the last few times PJ came through Philly. I have 100% confidence now that they will play the Spectrum in the fall.
"Darkness comes in waves, tell me, why invite it to stay?"
I have 100% confidence now that they will play the Spectrum in the fall.
Ditto! Now let the ticket stress commence...
Unless the 10C have arranged a special ticketing deal with TM on these shows, tickets are going to be an absolute disaster to try and buy. This MSG last year x 1,000.
Hopefully the 10C has a larger than usual ticket allocation for these shows like they seemed to have for both Toronto and Chicago.

My theory is they will. Spectrum uses its own ticketing (ComcastTix), and I'm thinking PJ had leverage here, as the Spectrum is scrambling to book some more shows there before tearing it down.

I wasn't aware of that but that is certainly great news!
These 3 shows may get VERY close to being 10C only if there is no limit on 10C ticket sales.

anybody think we'll get more than 5 seconds of advance notice for this when tix go on sale? (and by advance notice, i mean the site crashing)
I would hope that the rest of the dates for 2009 will all be released together. Since we are only looking at a little over a month of touring (probably), which would likely amount to 15-20 shows MAX (possibly less), I don't see any reason why they won't all be announced together. And if that happens, I would assume there would be staggered on-sale dates for each show.
That said, for Philly the site will crash. No question

Sorry buddy, but you have way too many people with different sources saying you're completely wrong. Myself included. Hopefully you'll just be (naively) surprised when they are announced.

all of the east coasters within drive distance will try to go but do you really think anyone outside of philly really gives a shit about the spectrum?
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status
"all of the east coasters within drive distance will try to go but do you really think anyone outside of philly really gives a shit about the spectrum?"
Being a Sixers fan in CT means I sure do. Those were the days watching the Doc, Moses, Andrew Toney ect.. playing there. Eddie talked a lot about Dr. J last night.
that there is gonna be no east coast dates this year and that dump the Spectrum will get the wrecking ball before it see's a Pearl Jam concert.
No offense, but that sways me a little less than the specific/exact information and nudges we've gotten from several credible posters, Radio DJs, and Eddie Vedder...

This thread is getting me really excited but worried at the same time.
If they play 3 shows I want to be there for all of them, but Im worried that I will not be able to get tixs...

the spectrum seemed really nice the last time I was there, they've done a bit of improvements to it....i certainly wouldnt call it a dump. that being said their is NO WAY these shows are happening....just no way.....no chance whatsoever.......(*counter jinx)
PJ: Hartford 6/27/08 Mansfield 6/30/08 Philly 3 Oct. 30 2009

EV: Albany 1 and 2 June 2009 Providence June 15 2011 Hartford June 18 2011
tickets have not been hard to buy for a show in over 5 years... not to mention as the show gets closer this board gets flooded with extra's for face value or less
i also assume they have negotiated to have a nice large stockpile of fan club tix...
