would anybody know when the bridge school benefit show's in california get announced to the public? we will find out then, if pearl jam will be playing the east coast (philly) or in the west coast (california).

it's already been mention'd in our latest email from 10club & ruby'sdad already told us that pearl jam is playing the west coast in the fall. if philly is true, i don't see pearl jam just playing 3 night's back to back to back in philly and not play any other city/states close by, right? ;)

Well, they did it in '05 when they toured Canada, then played AC and Philly.

But they did play eastern Canada. In this case they'd be playing just Philly, and then going back out west.

    or they can be wrong.

I asked a board member that always seems to be in the know bout the band and they told me flat out that the band has no more scheduled dates in the northeast this year. Take it for what its worth. I don't see a band like pearl jam being the final act to close the arena. I see a band like phish or bon jovi or bruce springsteen or the dead. Those bands have long standing history there. I hope my doubts are wrong but the more think I bout it, it doesn't make sense.

I really didn't think they would play any shows either but there are so many rumors and a whole bunch of people who know promoters and such that are saying it's a done deal. Whatever the answer, I hope we know soon. I spend way too much time checking here to see if there are tweets or emails and praying I don't miss a 10c ticket sale. It's getting kinda ridiculous.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I'd be happy if the rumors were true, but Ed asked the crowd in Upper Darby tonight to say goodbye to the Spectrum for him. Interpret that however you'd like.

    He was totally fucking around.

    It's on!

    :D

That's the vibe I got, too. He started talking about how much they love the Spectrum, told his "Dr. J has really big hands" story again, got everyone worked up for a hint or outright confirmation of Spectrum shows... everyone cheering... then says, basically, "too bad we won't get to play there before it goes down" and everyone boos. I kinda thought he was dicking with everyone, what w/ the rampant rumors going around, and in a weird way, it seemed to confirm, at least for me, that there's at least the intent of shows there.

ac & philly are in the east coast, like the province newfoundland; pearl jam's last canadian stop
california is west coast. i can't see them travlel on the road & not do any dates in the middle of the country or in the east coast, other then just philly, for 3 nights!

A middle of the road stop between Philly and Chicago would be nice for all of us in between. It's been quite a few years since they've been this way and the fans in this mid-Atlantic region would really appreciate it, from both a travel and monetary perspective. We've travelled and struggled getting tix in these very large markets. Guess the good old days of many shows and stops are gone forever. If you guys are fortunate ebough to get the shows, all the best to you and enjoy. It will probably depend on whether it becomes a full blown out tour or just East and West Coast shows like last year.

The arena is downtown. Its a smaller arena so I doubt they would ever play there. Unless they did 2 nights!!!! Or they can play the Mullins Center at Umass. Many popular bands play there instead of Springfield. Either would be amazing for me!!

For those with something stuck in their crawl about how they couldn't possibly play the west coast then just play 3 dates in Philly. Here ya go - 1) They're fucking rock stars. They can do whatever they want - especially for the right price. 2) Ed Snider and the rest of Comcast-Spectacor - not to mention being filthy rich and doing what the masses want - are LOADING up for the final months. Like out of this world lineup. Two of the other being - Phish & Bruce in late September/early October. Not together of course.

Oh and 3) We are just that fucking sweet. 8-)

I know the dates october 29-31 have been thrown around for PJ at the Spectrum but on WMMRs website they just announced that Metallica has changed a schedule show in Ottawa from October 29 to November 3rd to play a 'special' show - I know when the talk about the Spectrum coming down as announced Peter Luuko (president of Comcast-Spectacor) mentioned a series of closing concerts. Perhaps Metallica has one of those dates? First thing I thought of when I saw that but just pure speculation on my part.

I remember reading last week that they will be playing a charity show in San Francisco. I can't remember what the cause was or where I read it but I am positive I read it. Doesn't necessarily mean that is why they rescheduled Ottawa but considering they were in Philly in january and they don't have much of a history with the SPectrum (2 shows on the Justice tour I think?) I highly doubt they have anything to do with this.

Heard my confirmation today from my source. It's not exactly the same days we had been speculating, but it is definitely during the last week of October. The 30th and 31st are reserved for Uncle Bruce, however. That's all I'm at liberty to say.

Just trust me kids: It's happening. And it will be oh so beautiful. Putting it on my boss's calender tomorrow.
