The Phillies suck because they had a terrible homestand? OK...

They're the defending world champions -- and you might have noticed they have a 24-9 road record.

They had the same kind of awful homestand against AL teams last June. The overall home record is flukey and will even out over the course of the season.
they should be 8 games up on us instead of 2-3. You can bring up all the stats ya want but the fact remains this season the phils suck. If they phils didn't suck then why are they looking for another starting pitcher.

Phils only got a 1/2 game on the Mets. Can't wait for people to start coming off the DL.

I think the lull has come because everything's set and signed, and we're just waiting for an official announcement. Most likely within the first two weeks of July is my guess.

Phils are a flawed team, just like the rest of the teams in the NL. I'm not scared of the Dodgers...they will get that dreadlocked juicehead back soon, but they are beatable.

Gotta love the mets fans...the mets are like the little brother that always thought he had a shot of winning a fight against his older brother. come october they will be on the outside of the playoffs looking in...again. I think it is hilarious that the mets are playing better without reyes and beltran than they were with those guys...just goes to show that those two are losers (especially reyes).

watch out for the rays in the AL...they own boston and they are loaded with talent. upton is on fire right now. I think they win the AL again this year...

Really hope these 3 PJ shows happen in philly...just so the haters have to keep hearing about it.

and for those that are counting...57 days until the chicago shows. can't wait

The Phils took two of three in the Bronx, and the Mets would have but for Castillo dropping a pop up.

But thanks for sweeping the Mets this weekend...

If anything, it proves nothing. I guess some people don't know this is a marathon. And what happens in April doesn't in June, nor in September. Yeah, the Phils lost 9 out of 12 last year at exactly this same time of month. And we know how that panned out. So let's not go sucking each other's D's just yet.

AL East went 52-38 vs. the NL East and it's pretty comparable because you have supposedly 4 contenders and the worst team in each league in the division. (Before going 11-7 in interleague play the O's had the worst record in the AL)

Fair enough, but I consider the Rays significantly better and the Jays a little better than the Braves or Marlins, and the Orioles significantly better than Washington.

Not to mention the inherent advantage the AL teams have in their home games, as they have a good hitter on the roster to just DH, whereas the NL uses that roster spot on a 12th (ie, crappy) pitcher.

But as a Phils fan all I really care about is we beat the Yanks and held our own against the Rays and Sox.
