With all these people, I wonder if we should get a shuttle arrangement. Me and hubby will be flying from San Fran, so we won't have any transportation in Chicago. I wonder how many other people are in the same situation.

there is a shuttle at the airport that will take you to the hyatt ( o hare )

    it runs every 15 minutes.

you can also resort to the L Line.

Anyone tried to get the Priceline deal recently? Plans seem to be changing yet again, and I may be able to make this happen.... if any young folks such as myself are interested, just found out that the Hyatt Regency will take you if you're 18 or up, not 21 as it says on their site.

Seriously, I wouldn't even worry about that. They aren't going to turn you away once you have booked the room on Priceline. Do you have a credit card? As long as you do, you are fine.

Yes, I will have a credit card... thanks again BeerBaron, you're probably right... after all, as a multi-million dollar corporation, who are they to turn down money? :)

How exciting to see so many of you at one hotel! I'm a little jealous. I live in Lincoln Park, but I feel like I should get a room to join the party!

Especially since, with Priceline the rums are paid for in advance. Their only worry might be that you'd destroy the room, but if you leave a credit card imprint with them for incidentals, that's not really a problem either.

As I said previously, when Priceline was only open to US residents I used to book rooms with a made up address. They don't really care because the room is paid for.

Perfect. Now I just have to hope, when the guy I'm discussing tickets with gets back to me in a few weeks, that this offer's still valid.

It's a big commitment for me though.. I'd be coming from Toronto by plane, and the budget's a bit tight.. it's hard to justify to my parents why a 19-year-old needs to take a two day trip to see a band twice in a row that'll end up costing close to a grand with all expenses tallied up. The way my parents are, they'll be less hesitant to let me go if I show them a complete plan, with everything already guaranteed.

How much did you bid, if you don't mind me asking - and how much did it come to once they add their charges, which I'm assuming are present? Thanks!

It'll work out Megatron - too many cool people on this place to let you down! I'm extremely excited - my parents agreed to help me out with flights, and pay for them on their Air Miles for me :o
This means Chicago's goin' down
