And like a poster said above, what are you guys doing about parking (assuming you don't want to pay $48 a night).

I'm avoiding that by flying
The cost to park at the Hyatt for the 4 days that I am going to be in Chi-town was just a shade less than the cost of our two round trip flights from Buffalo to Chicago.

Well i had no option but to fly since Im in Miami but I had rented a car which I promptly cancelled when i saw the per night charge at the Hyatt and a good friend told me I won't be needing a car while Im there even to move from and to the airport

Anyone staying at the Holiday Inn Express? I got that from Hotwire about a month ago for under $60. The only knock on it was small rooms. Since I will be by myself I don't care how big the rooms are...especially since I plan on not being in the room much. The location is awesome for sight-seeing and hitting some of the cool food spots like Al's.

Yeah, absolutely no need for a car when traveling to Chicago. The train system is really good.
This place is going to be crazy. We are staying Fri/Sat/Sun. Then Toni and kids are going home Monday morning and I am crashing with someone.
I'm staying Saturday till Tuesday...surprised to see a lot of people driving down from Toronto to Chicago! Shoulda planned earlier and set up a car pool....oh well, the gf lives in sarnia so that cuts down the drive by 3hours if I stay there Friday.
Since I've never been to a pre party before, what are they generally like?

There are a number of parking garages nearby for $23 for 24 hours.

A great way to meet fans from all over and have a few drinks/food before the show. The Wishlist Foundation sells shirts and stuff for charity and people donate collectables to be raffled off.
They can get pretty big. The one at Hartford last year was huge!

I was able to get the exact same deal yesterday. I was pretty suprised when it said my offer was accepted and that the Hyatt was the hotel. So anyone else that hasn't booked yet, give it a try!
Just an update...I've been trying to reserve some space at the bar at the Regency, but am getting a bit of a runaround from them...
I called in the early evening, and was told to call Sales in the morning, then Sales told me I had to call the Big Bar in the evening, and Big Bar isn't answering the phone...
