There is no way to specifically Priceline the Hyatt. Depending on which day you are checking in (Saturday check-ins always cost more), I would just start bidding in the high 50s for a 4 star and go from there...

Im looking forward to meeting you :) I wish I knew you guys' faces so I dont miss any of ya'!!

My friend was on priceline today and the Hyatt Regency on Wacker dr. was not an option with the 4 star hotels anymore :( . Looks like he may have waited too long. They're only looking to book the hotel for Monday night, hope it opens up for them again.
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

You must be looking at the regular purchase option. The deal that everyone is talking about here is using the "name your own price" option. Is is using that where you get the great deals. If you need me to walk you through it send me a PM and I will explain it all to you...

Hey all...I was gone for a week on vacation and haven't had a chance to update the list on the frontpage...I still can't believe people are still getting rooms there...this is going to be crazy.

I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if we can reserve a special section of the bar or something for Saturday night. Can't wait to meet everyone and of course see these shows... :D

If you plan on driving, parking at the hotel is $48 per night, just a heads up.

  • ok if you put a bid and it gets rejected. How long before you can try again without increasing the bid by $17 like its telling me.

24 hours. And the rule of thumb is that they will accept a bid of whatever you bid before + half of the $17

Your problem is likely the Saturday. My guess is that you'll have to go between $65 and $70 for a 4 star. At this point I would say there probably won't be much difference between a 4 star and 3 star in terms of price, so I would stick to the 4 star and bid $65.

Why are people worrying about an extra $15-$20??

If you have tickets to the show...
If you have paid for airfare/train fare/or you are driving to chicago....

At this point whats an extra $20???

I would just put in whatever price I had to put in, as far as priceline, and just get the room.Right?

I think I saw that you have to pay $45/day for parking at the Hyatt....is that right?

I'm considering parking at a train lot and riding the train into Chicago and getting around via cab or el

anyone concur? or am I stupid? or both?

For clarity here. Two nights ago a $70 bid in "Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area ' got they Hyatt Regency on Wacker for Monday.

If you needed Sunday as well, I would say do the $70 for Monday rig (since it's probably still active) then add a night to your stay at the same rate.

I'm staying Saturday till Tuesday...surprised to see a lot of people driving down from Toronto to Chicago! Shoulda planned earlier and set up a car pool....oh well, the gf lives in sarnia so that cuts down the drive by 3hours if I stay there Friday.

Since I've never been to a pre party before, what are they generally like?

And like a poster said above, what are you guys doing about parking (assuming you don't want to pay $48 a night).
