How much did you bid, if you don't mind me asking - and how much did it come to once they add their charges, which I'm assuming are present? Thanks!

we bid $60 so it was $405 for 3 nights 2 rooms that i got and right after that my friend got his room @ $60 a night as well.

Cool, thanks! For anyone who's looking, I don't know if the service charges are consistent for any price purchase, but if they are, that's 12.5% service charges on top of your bid, so if you just multiply your your bid by your number of rooms, number of nights, and 1.125, that'll be your total. Hope that helps someone on a tight budget!

A significant portion of that is the taxes that you are prepaying up front. Yes, there is a Priceline fee in there too, but it is not 12.5%. You'll notice that the percentage varies depending on the taxes in the applicable city/state that you are staying in.

Looks like there is going to be a large Toronto contingent there despite the fact that we have our own show

i hope me stealing all of your mini soaps and towels doesnt effect your pay 8-)
  • This is a great idea but I'm having trouble understanding with the site though... I selected the Millenium Park box, 4-star, then bid $60 but I have to give my credit card info BEFORE it will let me know what's available for that particular Hyatt Regency? What if my bid is accepted but it's for another hotel?
Makes much more sense to live in the Present Tense.

Unfortunately, that's the risk you take. If you take a look though, there's only three four star hotels in Millenium Park area, so your odds are pretty high, especially when you consider the fact that no one here has been put anywhere else, and the fact that the hotel has over 2,000 rooms.

Fair enough. Even if I don't get into the Hyatt, the other hotels would probably still good for $60/night!

What happens if they don't accept my offer? Will my card still be charged for a higher amount?
