Hoo-ray Flagg! Since you have time, get some rest - just in case you have to stand in rain Sunday nite! :D

I'll be in a Lakers hat and a white PJ shirt (pineapples as bombs) or if its hot a navy blue nike tank to stay cool if hot. Oh and my green and white striped chair. Looking to get a good spot by the LIVESTRONG stage about 2 PM and meet some folks who can form a spot for all of us. GF is going alone to see Ben Harper (she told me I could hold the spot) so I won't lose the spot for PJ. Say hi if you see me!! Leaving in the AM.

Did everyone who went today see Ed sit in with Kings of Leon for the last song? He traded verses on Slow Night So Long like at Lolla 07. Good stuff.

Also hope y'all got to see Them Crooked Vultures. My God, PJ is going to have to work to top them, IMO.

Great Merchandise!! A burnt orange PJ shirt, two posters (love them both, but the AMES one is super sick-and signed and numbered), the Ames book signed as well (poster, bag, and red tote for 60). I had wanted that book when it came out, but couldn't justify buying it; and now it says AB vs. TX 09. The girlfriend twisted my arm and made me indulge. AND, I got it out of the way and safely home on the dry day. Already raining today. Breaking out the PJ poncho.

not raining yet, but I'm looking forward to some showers today. I never see rain in L.A.

So check it out, those of you rushing the rail Sunday morning:

I'll be right there with you when gates open, but I've got a press pass, which grants me access to the media tent where there's an abundance of free food, alcohol and beverages (including WATER). If people are cool about holding my spot every couple hours I can run down and stock up the cargo-shorts pockets with drinkables for people between sets or whatever. Hanging out with my fellow die-hards is cool, but waaaay cooler when everybody's hydrated and happy.

I'm raging with anticipation for tomorrow - absolutely cannot wait. Aside from Friday's amazing performances I landed the first-ever interview with Josh Homme of Them Crooked Vultures yesterday for Antiquiet, and after taking it easy today I'll be ready for all-out rockin' with Clutch, The Dead Weather and, of course, our boys. It was so awesome seeing everybody freak the fuck out when Vedder came out at the end of Kings of Leon's set last night. Video of that song here: http://www.antiquiet.com/shows/2009/10/kings-of-leon-austin-city-limits/

i saw that. you. lucky. bastard. haha

i was on the rail in front of JPJ for the stubb's show. and i am still debating on whether or not to try for the rail at 9am. the girlfriend wants to hang back for a bit to at least catch the heartless bastards. and i don't think my body and mind can withstand 13 hours in one spot!

Also. Since I'm sure the shirts are limited, like all the other city specific tees have been for this tour; are they selling a few each day? It wouldn't make sense for them to sell out of everything on Friday when PJ doesn't play till Sunday. Thanks!

marc, I wondered the same thing. But after getting shut out at Lolla, I snatched them up just in case. Plus, yesterday could end up being the only dry day, so they were relatively safe all day. The Ames booth wasn't killing it, but there were folks looking at the stuff. Don't know how many of their posters they have; said they were autographing 500 and mine was 160 at about 4 in the pm. Good selection of old tshirts, too. They have a sweet typewriter PJ shirt that I would've bought if I didn't blow too much already.

the blue poster at the ames booth yes. they have allotted a certain amount for each day. today is not a good day to be carrying around a poster. with the rain we are expecting. then again, i will probably rain tomorrow.

keep in mind. ames booth has NO tubes. but acl will let you in with one.

anyone disappointed by the orange shirts? mainly, it isnt even close to texas longhorn burnt orange. its more like road side worker orange. for a long time longhorn fan this is like a huge oversight to me. lol.

    still a cool shirt though.

I thought the same thing. But since I am not an alum, nor fan, I can overlook it. There's those and a black stickman one that says Austin. I wanted a show-specific tee and figured the orange one was a better buy. I can always buy a black stickman tee, ya know?

To be fair, I'm about 99 percent sure UT has that particular shade of orange trademarked.

On another note, if anyone wants to pick me up one of these in XL, I'd be much obliged. I can find you and pay you at the show tomorrow, if need be.

I'm going to assume it was a licensing issue, I'll just tell myself that it's not supposed to have anything to do with UT and is just a shirt for the show. The longhorn doesn't look exactly right either, still a great shirt.

When the Rolling Stones came through a couple years ago, they obviously had the money to license. They had a true Burnt Orange shirt with the real Horns insignia together with the Stones tongue insignia. Pretty badass.

If you want a Burnt Orange PJ shirt, there's always the Old West Saloon shirt. :)
