    A couple of interesting beers I've had lately:

    Boxer's Revenge - Jester King - very nice sour :thumbup:
    Saison du Buff - Dogfish/Stone/Victory Collaboration - :thumbdown:
    Octoberfest - Saint Arnolds - :eh:
    Theobrama - on tap and bottle - Dogfishead - :thumbup:

    Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

    1000% agree - I had it fresh from the brewery and I almost couldn't get it down, shep.
    Worst part: a guy I was chatting brews with turned me on to it "you'll love this, different than all the saisons, etc..."
    Tasted like a garden strained thru Coors Light. If I'm not mistaking, I think there really is parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme in that stuff.

Yeah I've heard the debate about what is the best way to store beer and I've heard different theorys on it. Personally though I store my beer both ways and have never had any bad experiences or tasted a difference with either way so I don't really sweat it.
    Yesterday I scored a set of 4 etched Sam Adams and 2 etched New Castle glasses on the cheap at my local GoodWill. They'll go nicely with my other beer glasses.. :D

    A 2011 120 followed by some home brew along with the Yanks and no work tomorrow. Life is good.

    I believe the fridge ran me about $280, including the truck rental from Home Depot to bring it home :lol:

    It was a Home Depot gift card well spent - they actually have some decent wine fridges there, nothing overly nice, but the one I bought does the trick.

    To tell you the truth, in the past I've aged them upright and on their side and haven't noticed the difference except with bottle conditioned beers. I find storing those upright allows the yeast to flocculate out and drop to the bottom easier, and you wind up with a brighter, clearer product when you pour...

    this doesn't really effect the taste, but it makes it look nice - like the brewer intended...

    What kind of homebrew are you drinking right now?

    I've got 4 bottles of my pale ale left... a brown ale currently bottle conditioning, and I just brewed my first IPA the weekend and it's in the primary fermenter now.... such a fun hobby... :D

    Went on a tour of Stone yesterday, incredible! What a setup.
    $3 = a 1 hr tour, a glass, 4 beers to taste (4oz) - incredible

    The new Enjoy By is spectacular - it is hoppy and delish! Grab it fresh in Colorado & Ohio only!
    I tried the "Mint Chocolate Imperial Stout' yesterday and couldn't believe how good it was/is. Normally I'm not into flavored stouts, at all. The tour guide explained it, small batch, same home brewer won a contest to make it with Stone, etc...
    If you like the stouts, and you like Girl Scout "Thin Mints", this is the beer for you. What a tasty beer. If the temp was cooler (74 in SD yesterday) I'd drink a bunch of these badboys!

    Had a 16th Anny IPA from Stone last night... quite delish... not as good as the 10th anny ruination, but definitely a tasty beverage that I would happily consume again. :D

    Just finished my 2nd night of volunteering at the GABF
    over 2700 beers from over 500 breweries
    lat year I tasted just over 120 differwnt brews and this year got near 140
    AWESOME!!!

    Yum - I've had the 2008 and it was delicious...unless this is a specific "bottle conditioned" beer (it's not) feel free to store it in the fridge. Keep oxygen, light and heat away from this puppy, Horos. The crown liner is the most important part of this masterpiece. This is where the oxygen seeps in and the carbon dioxide seeps out. Keeping it cold will prolong the life of it. Tip: brown bag this puppy, then slap it in the fridge.
    No way I could wait until August 2013 to enjoy this Dissident, more power to you bro!

    Thanks. It is waxed on the cap.

    Probably have to pick up another to drink just to be able to compare. No one at my house believes I can sit on it for a year. I don't know if I can either.

    Nice choice. I still have a couple '09 Abyss and a Black Butte XXI (need to get a couple XXIV's). I just put them in the pantry and wait for the right occasion. Check in after the Fresh Hop fest and give us your top 3.

    Mad Elf is out and it's fantastic. Never had it before now. I've been trying a lot of different ales and I've been neglecting my 1st true love, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I grabbed some yesterday and its just so damn good.
