Well, that was an exclamation point win after a great series...

Well it's not that surprising. To keep it going for one more game was asking almost to much.
    Congrats to the Pens.
I wanted to see the Canadian "Kid" move on anyway.

I hope the Bruins and Wings can play a much better game than the CAPS did! What a let down :(

That wasn't just a loss....that was a complete embarrassment on their home ice. That was a sad, sad performance.

I said Washington caved, then they won so I said maybe they hadn't, and then they pulled that last night, so, I was right the first time ;)

From a Wing HIGH to a BRUIN low....... Damn I was so bummed at 11:30 last night but I would like to say to refs of the Boston game - "Thank you for letting them play in 3rd period/overtime".

I'll give Scott Walker a 100 dollars if he does to Sydney what he did to Ward....100 dollars Scott, what the hell you won't get punished right ;)

Under different circumstances he'd have been suspended ;)
But I will agree with you, go Walker!

I don't know about that. Cam Ward is 10 times the goalie that Fleury is. What I can tell you is that there is a 75% chance that the Stanley Cup will be in my hometown of Thunder Bay this summer. Gotta root for the Hawks though since Patrick Sharp is a huge PJ fan.

A Canes-Hawks final would be great hockey to watch.

Patrick Sharp might be a Pearl Jam fan, but Chris Chelios is good friends with Eddie Vedder (which I believe Trumps Sharp's card  ). GO WINGS!

As Mike Babcock said, "It should be good fun". This is going to be great to rekindle the Norris Division rivalries, especially with St. Louis coming of age.

Also, on a separate note I was reading a preview on NHL 2010 today on Gamespot and it looks like the best sports video game out there is only going to get better. They are adding board play which addresses my main criticism of NHL 2009. It looks like the new physical play (during and after the whistle) as well as a new passing system are going to due wonders for adding realism to an already realistic game.

The only thing better than Hawks/Wings would be the Hawks playing against any other team in the conference.

The only way the Cup is coming anywhere near your hometown is if a Red Wing brings it there.

The good thing about the Hawks / Wings matchup is that you will finally be “forced” to watch the Red Wings play hockey. All I ask is that you watch the series with an open mind and wait until it is over before you make judgment on their style of hockey. Based on some of your previous posts, I think you will be very surprised.

Ironically the only way that it won't be coming here is if the Wings win.

I will give a game a chance this series, for sure. If only because there is no other alternative.

Survive and advance. Another Game 7 win for my Canes! Got tix to Game 3 next Saturday. Can't wait. Both conference finals should be excellent match ups.
