    Hell yeah! :)

Carolina carried the action at the end of the period ... if it wasn't for Thomas, it would be 2-1 or tied.

Much needed end to the period ... let's see if they can kill the rest of the penalty and put another up on the board.

They sure did! It's 4 - 1 Bruins! With the start of the 3rd period with 5 on 4! :)

    Please Detroit, win tonight.

I'd like to watch game 7 of the Bruins v Canes.

(absolutely ridiculous that a game 7 would NOT be on TV)

The NHL isn't doing itself any favors not having A game 7 on TV, it's almost criminal.

Something has to be done about this next year especially with 3 of the original 6 STILL alive!

There must be some NBA games 7s on TV in the states, no?

Go Ducks. I won't watch (cause the Wings are sooo dry to watch), but I'm pulling for ya so I can watch some Western Conference Finals games.

Dude, when is the last time you watched a Wings game? Everything you have said about them leads me to believe you still think they play a trapping defense, which they haven't since 2005. In every game this season, unless they have a 2+ goal lead they have been sending two and sometimes three guys on the forecheck. All they do is force turnovers. That's a big reason Hossa's goal in Game 3 was disallowed. He forced a turnover deep in the Duck's zone, which caused the linesman to be ridiculously out of position. You have said how "boring" and "sooo dry" they are to watch, but you clearly don't know what you're talking about because you don't watch them. It's your loss though. You're missing a great series.

Wait, the Red Wings scored more goals than anyone else in the NHL this year, and they were 20th in goals allowed (meaning, they let in a lot too) ... I think that's the recipe for exciting games myself.

I try to watch them every once in awhile since I hold so much contempt for them and I always think that I would like to see them lose but I never see this forecheck you talk of. Every time I try to watch them, it's the typical 1-2-2 attack that I am accustomed to seeing from them. I'm sure that they open it up a bit when they are losing, but even still there isn't anybody on that team to cheer for or against. They are successful for sure and if you like watching them, that's cool. They just aren't for me right now. The late 80s / early 90s Wings were awesome to watch (tonnes of guys to love or hate) but once they brought Bowman in there, he killed Yzerman's creativity and it sucked the life out of any pinache that that team had and they just haven't been able to get that back. Kudos on the success though -- it really means a lot at the end of the day.

Not necessarily (although the 7-5 Hawks game last night was incredible).

i've been pretty hard on the nba for choosing its finals matchup..(it happened again last night with boston)

    Ugh.

I can't beleive I either have to listen to the B's game seven on the radio or head to a bar. And shit, many bars don't even subscribe to Center Ice, so, they might not have the B's game either.

    What a disaster.

Don't worry, with any luck it won't be worth a Bruins' fan watching it anyway :)

Yeah... Comcast owns Versus, right? You would think that in situations like this, they could move one of the games on like the Golf Network or something... Not everyone gets it, but at least it would be an option for some people.

    Nice one ;)
I hate the B's, but they're going to stomp Carolina.

it's odd, because I really have no feel for how this is going to play out. This series has been full of streaky play.

Sure, last night the B's won 4-2 and led by 2 or 3 for much of the game ... but, Carolina did out shoot them 34 - 19 and probably dominated the play for at least half, if not more, of the game.

It just feel like when the Bruins score first, the Canes panic ... so, hopefully, the B's can put one in the net early on.

8-3 combined score over 2 games, Broo-urns are going to steamroll Maurice and the Whalers.
Even if I didn't hate Boston I'd still want the Cane to win just to piss off Steve Dunne and his love of Maurice, hehe.

Don't worry Bruins will win 4-1. Both Canes goals yesterday Thomas blew. He'd even admit that.......as for watching the game what are you waiting for? Call all the bars and find one that'll have it, even if it's an hour away find that bar!!!

Looks like Time is noticed the lack of NHL coverage too. More to do with the Caps/Pens series than Boston, but still relevant.

good read ... thanks for posting ....
The series is drawing a smaller audience than last year's College Baseball World Series, on ESPN, when it averaged 1.4 million viewers.

Some dissappointment in the Capitals loss to the Pens. Great season by the Capitals and great play by the Penguins but the Caps will be back.

Now time for the BRUINS to get the job done tomorrow.
