At least they play in your geographic region.
What date is that? When is that show? :?

I count the Gorge shows in 2005 and 2006 as your geographic region - The Pacific Northwest. Plus Portland. And Vancouver.

I count Texas and the southwest as mine. Zip since '03.

Really Animal I am not trying to pick a fight. Believe me we have the same issue down here.
I understand. and i too accept that the Gorge is considered our region being that 90% of the crowds that go there drive from the Puget Sound region. It is just a long haul out there and more costly.

And I have gone to Vancouver for a PJ show and a Pink Floyd show. And on some maps Vancouver is part of the Pacific Northwest, but so is Idaho. That doesn't make it close by.

The Puget Sound region is where we have not gotten any love in a long time. They haven't played the Puget Sound proper (in a venue that holds more that 2500 people and advertised to the public) since December 2002.

I'm seriously considering it. 6.5 hours isn't too bad..I have to drive over 8 hours to visit family down in south Texas. The only downside is that my wife wants to go somewhere decent and use this as a small vacation if we're going to spend money on the trip. From the limited research I've conducted of Memphis this afternoon it doesn't look like it fits the bill so I may have to really talk her into it.

I've been to Memphis several times on work trips. Like anyplace else there are some really bad areas. But it is a pretty cool town. Great food. Beale St. is cool.

Plenty of good siteseeing too. Good luck talking her into it. I do this to so I always try to pick a city we haven't seen before.

Another kick in the balls for the european fan....

at least Mike likes Europe....so maybe Pj will get over here.
  • Its kinda odd/funny to think that there's probably more than a handful of people who've actually moved to Seattle just so they can be near the epicenter of all things Pearl Jam...and, yet PJ rarely plays there anymore!

Anyone know what city they've (counting Ed solo too) played the most since 2000? I think the Philly metro/Boston metro areas have to be up near the top.

I think it's ok to be disappointed. I even think it's ok to start a thread about it and express those feelings. But I think we all have to realize that anything short of a full-on world tour would've disappointed somebody and with a new album coming out this year there is DEFINITELY gonna be lots of live Ed to be a part of. So, there IS a silver lining to all this, no?

And yah, I live here... BUT I flew home from London to see that show... so technically... haha...

its just a show, come on people... let's just be patient.

Fox Theatre in St. Louis would be perfect for an Ed show
I have to agree with this!

PJ & Ed have played in south (atlantic city, camden) and north jersey (east rutherford, newark), philly, boston and NYC the most since 2000 easily without even checking the numbers. It is way biased towards the Philly/NYC/Boston regions but hey the most PJ fans live here.

what makes you think that Ed owes you anything? Ed owes us nothing. We should be thankful that we have the music and that he's even touring. i'm flying from Toronto to see one of these shows. you need to quit your whining animal.

There is more to the Puget Sound than just Seattle. Add another hour from Tacoma, and even more for Olympia.

Not even talking about how far away it is for our friends to the south in Portland, OR.

"We" had two shows last year? In the Puget Sound region? Publicly advertised?
