Oh, but way to play fucking New York again.
Hey now... I will have to be in a car for 5 hours... Albany is not New York
At least your nearest show is within driving distance. If we want to see him we will have to hop a 5 hour, $400 plane ride to Hawaii...not to mention the large hotel cost incurred in doing so. Hawaii ain't cheap.
Intelligence is the key and she was locked out
Let's Just Pop a Few Yards of Bubble Wrap and Call It a Day!
I'm in the Big D as well...Are you thinking about taking a road trip to Memphis?
2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City
What about us middle of the country folks?? Always a 'coast' tour what about a 'midwest' tour
"I'll ride the wave,Where it takes me, I'll hold the pain, Release me"
"I'm not about to give thanks or appologize"
"Caught a bolt of lighting, cursed the day he let it go"
i am starting to believe that Ed solo or the band as a whole will never play Seattle or the Puget Sound ever again.
At least Mike and Stone still play here.
relax...it's a short tour. i live in TX & knew that there was little-to-no chance of EV playing anywhere near here. he/they can't play everywhere, you know. it seems to me that they've played in Seattle a lot more than in my part of the country, but i'm not going to start a thread to complain about it.
he'll do his short tour, and then we'll see what happens w/ PJ for the rest of the year. it's only April. no harm was meant by my response, by the way. i'm just a little sick of all of the complaining.
I'm seriously considering it. 6.5 hours isn't too bad..I have to drive over 8 hours to visit family down in south Texas. The only downside is that my wife wants to go somewhere decent and use this as a small vacation if we're going to spend money on the trip. From the limited research I've conducted of Memphis this afternoon it doesn't look like it fits the bill so I may have to really talk her into it.

It's an 8 city mini tour... Can't make everyone happy! Only 1 city for the whole upper NY, New England, Eastern Canada crowd to try to get really. Philly is a hike for most of that area. It is what it is.
Oh, but way to play fucking New York again.
you can't be for real..albany is a completely different market than nyc. do you know how far albany is from nyc?
I'd still be happy if I were you! Memphis will be the closest ed or PJ has come to Texas in 6 years..and that's almost 7 hours from Dallas!

I count the Gorge shows in 2005 and 2006 as your geographic region - The Pacific Northwest. Plus Portland. And Vancouver.
I count Texas and the southwest as mine. Zip since '03.
Really Animal I am not trying to pick a fight. Believe me we have the same issue down here.
I understand. and i too accept that the Gorge is considered our region being that 90% of the crowds that go there drive from the Puget Sound region. It is just a long haul out there and more costly.
And I have gone to Vancouver for a PJ show and a Pink Floyd show. And on some maps Vancouver is part of the Pacific Northwest, but so is Idaho. That doesn't make it close by.
The Puget Sound region is where we have not gotten any love in a long time. They haven't played the Puget Sound proper (in a venue that holds more that 2500 people and advertised to the public) since December 2002.

I've been to Memphis several times on work trips. Like anyplace else there are some really bad areas. But it is a pretty cool town. Great food. Beale St. is cool.
Plenty of good siteseeing too. Good luck talking her into it. I do this to so I always try to pick a city we haven't seen before.
Its kinda odd/funny to think that there's probably more than a handful of people who've actually moved to Seattle just so they can be near the epicenter of all things Pearl Jam...and, yet PJ rarely plays there anymore!
Anyone know what city they've (counting Ed solo too) played the most since 2000? I think the Philly metro/Boston metro areas have to be up near the top.
this easily has to be the dumbest thread title in the HISTORY of this board, let this be a note to all the people who think post count determines intelligence.

If by nothing you mean all that great music and great shows that have enhanced our lives over the years, all the friends I have met around the world and in my own backyard and that tour in 2006 that led me on the path to meeting my wife and love of my life than yeah thanks for nothing ed.

As much as I would love to, I can't. I am actually going to be gone on vacation that week.
I am holding out for ACL and any other PJ shows that may surround that.
What about you?

simple solution = move to Delaware
Fox Theatre in St. Louis would be perfect for an Ed show

I'm moving to NYC next month. Hope to have the opportunity to see more shows than here in the PNW.
